Good to see you are back. I think you are doing a great job (amongst others) in educating. Both the police who don't bother to study the law (if they knew the law, they would be making money as lawyers), and average people who try to berate and criticize citizens who know their rights. I always love the people who say "shut the f*ck up and let the police do their jobs!" If this were a different era, these same bigots and passive sheep would have told Rosa Parks to sit in the back of the bus and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to not take things so seriously. Those who hide behind priveleges will always tell others not to "rock the boat". Until Americans realize that we are ALL Americans, we shall not be free. An injustice to one is an injustice to all.

Unfortunately I don't think most people understand what constitutes a lawful order, and its not something you can explain in 10 seconds.
A big problem is that police can give you illegal lawful orders that you have to follow by law, and your only legal recourse is through the court system. In IL at least a "lawful order" is anything that the police tell you to do that isn't inherently illegal and doesn't put you in harm's way. They can ask you to bark like a dog and you have to do it.
A further problem is the courts upholding the idea that "requests" made by police are lawful orders. They don't have to tell you its an order.
