They immediately pull you out of the car before you have time to grab your registration from the glovebox, sun visor, or wherever else you may keep your registration.
Now, you can't produce your registration because you were immediately yanked from the car. That now gives them the authority to search your vehicle for the registration.
It's a carefully crafted scheme they use to search most vehicles they stop.
