It looks good for them to have an arrest under their belt as per the Sergeants decision than to take him to the hospital and have a doctor see him and then evaluate the person. That’s how it’s supposed to work but it’s the bosses call in the field.

It's all about the money, the numbers, total control, we haven't seen nothing yet.
When mentally unstable people "disappear" or you find abandoned homeless camps with all their belongings still in their tents, and they're not showing up in jail or mental hospitals… I get the feeling they are being hauled off to FEMA concentration camps. There's really not many mental institutions left in California. Democrat Governor of California Ronald Reagan shut most of them down, and put the patience on the street where most of them still are.
We live in a sick society when ambulances are sent for the physical maladies, and police are sent for the mental ones.

The US has spent the last several decades proving that you can't arrest your way out of the problems we face (war on drugs…), and now we'll spend the next few decades paying the price for refusing to accept our failure to recognize that fact.
I believe it was in the 70's when they stoped helping people with mental health.

It's unfortunate that the whole person is not treated and education is minimal…which leads to a lack of options leading to harm and impacts one-stop mental state.
