12. At this point in time, I think Cali copwatchers should all just get cards saying " what I'm doing is a First Amendment, Constitutionally-protected act. You know it, I know it. That's all there is to say, and now I'm going to use my Fifth Amendment Constitutionally-protected right, and not say another word to you and I suggest maybe do the same for me" and just hand those out and eat I a cop walks up and wants to know why you videotaping, because all these veiled sarcastic remarks and threats would get to me. This guy was basically saying in cop speak, "wtf you doing you here losers? We protect and all that shit, Get a life" in his smug own way. Police don't seem to understand the perception of them has drastically changed in the last 15-20 years. People do not feel safe with them around anymore and that's just how it is, but it seems nobody has send them the memo. All-in-all I just figured having a card with something cool like that printed on it so you wouldn't even have to speak to them when they're being dicks, might make it easier. 17. I wish we had cop watchers in the La Mirada area. The deputies here are total jerks! They're always trying to escalate even the most minor situations and everyone is afraid to file complaints due to fear of retaliation.
