4. Really car wasn't loud. The dirt bag cop need to be fire.

5. Got pulled over for this exact thing once. Cop immediately asked to search my vehicle. When I refused he got all pissy and wouldn't let it go. He tried to intimidate me by calling in backup to harass me about it. I was on probation at the time and he even went so far as to contact my PO to get her permission to search me and my vehicle. She ultimately denied him his request too and he had to let me go after issuing me a citation. All because I put a performance muffler on my truck. They definitely use that as a reason to get you on something else, just like with seat belt violations.

6. I'm all for modifying and making your car faster but since this ticket will hopefully quiet another fart can muffler deleted 4 cylinder then I encourage the cop to write as many tickets as needed.

7. I have a neighbor who has a little street race car. I LOVE IT! My husband died a few yrs ago. We had race boats with top alcohol engines. He was a engine builder avd a aero space design engineer. We had a dragster or two with top alcohol engine in it. We had a great time. I love the noise. When I hear a loud car I want to go see what is making the noise. When I see my neighbor with his car out driving I’m the neighbored I give him the thumbs up.

11. I don't have any loud exhaust problems where I live. But I can absolutely see this being annoying if it happens multiple times everyday.

    I guess I just wouldn't live in an area like that.

13. The police are doing it here too! Pulling people over for modified exhaust. They got me too. I had no idea it was illegal. It passed inspection?
    Cops never used to enforce this before unless you were running open headers or straight pipe. They sell these modified exhaust everywhere.
    I dont give a shit if people complain, all kinds of vehicles and motorcycles are louder than that factory. People need to learn more tolerance instead of wanting everything thier way.
    If your not a nuisance late at night zooming or revving, leave drivers alone and let people modify thier cars. Its an American past time for decades…

16. I used to be f*cked with constantly by NC police until I started driving a prius. Haven’t been pulled over in years. Just saying…. if you are in a situation like I was, the Prius “profiles” you in an extremely uninteresting way.

20. He has his opinion of the various laws, implying that he doesn’t agree with the exhaust one that he had just enforced…he also has officer discretion to have not stopped those guys in the first place or to have not written the ticket and just talked to the kid about changing it.
