When you climb a fence to go off the marked trail, walk on sacred land, trample through an area of ancient carvings, give a false name, disobey lawful orders, attempt to elude the ranger (who is tasked by the tribe to protect that land) …. Then put a heavily edited, dishonest video on social media, I don't have a lot of sympathy for him. This is one of those super rare time where I can't fault the LEO too much.

31. Escalating this to detainment and taser being deployed is a much worse outcome than leaving them be to walk on shifting sand between the desert plants. No harm done and no footprints in a day or so. The subject wasn't cooperating, but in this case who cares. Verbal warning then leave. This cop used poor judgement. Typical ego trip.

35. This is so odd. The ranger was being reasonable until the guy put his hand up and called for help. Why would you taser someone for putting their hands up and yelling help? When the guy was walking away despite being told that he wasn't free to go you could make an argument for using the taser, but not when he actually used it.
