This video is edited down for viewing time, nothing was censored or omitted to sway the story. I find myself in Black Mountain North Carolina, I was offered a tour by the fire department and was brought around. When going to the police station, the story changed after I was calling them out on the back door being unlocked, open and no signs saying police only. That led me right into the back office where the detectives, evidence room and other interview offices are. The Police Chief saved the face of the department after the dispatcher freaked out. She was fine having a conversation until there was a camera. I was having a conversation with the dispatcher and she was extremely polite, then realize I was recording and calling out the fact that I was able to walk through the dispatch area. You’ll notice several diversionary tactics each time they come out to put the questions on their plate. Each time the LT came out I direct them away from worrying about me recording. Since the dispatcher was actively dispatching I decided that pressing the recording issue could land me in some hot water with interfering. I backed off accordingly.

Can see why the chiefs incharge…the lady was on the right track but forget she works for the public….great looking little town..she should be the face of the place and know all the info and boosted the town making people want to love there…anything else says stay away..dont invest or buy property…so many towns are doing because people dont know being closed minded kills growth

  12. Firefighters are not ashamed of what they do; they'll be happy to give a tour most any day. Cops, on the other hand, are always hiding something and so ashamed of themselves they'll even try to not ID. It's really sad.

  13. If anyone was paying attention there was a camera just over the Chiefs head. Funny how indoctrinated people are to government and other workplace cameras but lose it over hand held devices.

  14. Her “feelings” TOTALLY do not matter. What matters is that the public has a RIGHT, not permission, to film her in the course of her duties. She cannot be “bothered” or “interfered with” or “disrupted” because of the auditor’s filming. She needs to be made aware of the law, and she needs to respect it and the public. She may not like it, but I don’t like having to stop at stop signs. The law is the law for a reason.

  24. Note that they care more about a dispatcher being on video than they do the security of their evidence room. The incompetence of government today is amazing. But yes, the chief did well, he just needs to educate his employees.
