1. Qualified immunity and police unions are going to be the cause of citizens ambush killing police. They push and push, violate and murder citizens and seldom face accountability. They do not even follow the laws that everyone else has to and they spit on the constitution they swore an oath on. Their disdain for the public is evident in videos uploaded every day and they get paid way too much taxpayer money for the conduct they constantly show. It is a PRIVILEGE to be an officer, but they have made themselves sovereign citizens and that was never the intent for the police. Time to take back the power and clean house?

Most cops belong to one party, & the FOP mostly donates to this traditionally anti-union party. The other party, which promised police reform, have not come through, cowardly avoiding angering the powerful police unions & other police-affiliated lobby groups.

    I saw the arrest video and the Sgt was abusing the citizen after he was arrested and put into the cruiser, and the female cop pulled him off the citizen. The Sgt lost it and grabbed the female cop by her throat in retaliation. The union is defending the Sgt, who abused both the arrested citizen, and a fellow officer. The Sgt in question has serious issues and needs to be terminated. Worse yet the city council has a former cop as a member, who acts just like a classic psycho-cop, and is determined to protect the Sgt who obviously is out of control. Time for a new council member.

39. What is lost on me is the officer despite what the car owner did put his hands on another officer. That officer happen to be a female. I believe in Equality at all levels however if a male officer can so boldly put his hands on a female officer and the city council has need to debate who will over see that officers hearing/investigation what does that say for what is truly important to LEOs?
    Citizen can not choke people that piss them off. So tell me why should we the people look up, support or even listen to these kinds of officers?
    Equality means what is righteous for one is righteous for all. Cops are not special to the rules.
    Perhaps a review of this video will open eyes that we are not all equal even though our Constitution says that we are.

40. If the police are unable to discipline officers for this sort of egregious behavior caught red-handed on camera how can we trust them to police themselves? And if the politicians signed up for union deals they protect officers like this in the entire system needs to be thrown out and restructured. We taxpayer’s shouldn’t be held hostage by police unions we didn’t vote for.
