  2. Hey chief why is it more common than not that these body cam footage shots you all have a real hard to get ahold of sometimes makes you wonder and why does cops have to be so damn condescending to the public like they're better than everybody can you answer that chief

  3. Seems appropriate to me. We dont want to make our department look bad. Why cant these civilians just do what we tell them. Why make our jobs so difficult when you journalists exercise youre rights

  4. I sent an email to the chief that included the following:

    To Ryan Willhite,

    Regarding your recent Facebook post…

An officer of the law complaining about a citizen asserting their 5th Amendment Right. Wow! You served for 30 years in the US Marine Corps? You should know better!

Whether you know it or not, your service in The Marine Corps was based on protecting The Constitution including the right to remain silent! I have a grandfather that died in The Battle Of The Bulge protecting this right. The 5th Amendment is a sacred thing. Someone asserting their GOD-GIVEN rights in The USA should NEVER be questioned about why they're asserting them! Too much blood has been spilled while protecting these rights to ever question someone invoking them. Hopefully you'll rethink your position & come to a different conclusion.

I'm sure you're aware of the rift that presently exists between law enforcement and the general public. Well, the type of post you made on Facebook does nothing to fix the divide. It only exacerbates it.

A Concerned Citizen Of The USA

  5. Show us where its hurts Doll Best darn Police Gift Ever LMFAO I laughed for 5 minutes straight tears in my eyes have not had a better time in 20 years

  6. Maybe those officers should look for something else to do for a living if their feeling are getting hurt by people enforcing their rights

  7. The police acted perfectly reasonably, for a bunch of uniformed mafia thugs with the backing of the state. Back the Blue, until it happens to you.

  8. They're trying to tell you that it's making their jobs harder meaning God we won't get a conviction if they don't confess what they're doing when they walk up and say do you know why I pulled you over but yeah I was speeding or you hadn't stop at the stop sign you don't tell him s*** you actually say I don't answer questions. Also you're only to give them your driver's license proof of registration and your insurance if they ask you for any more you don't have to give it you just say I've given you everything you need when they say is this your current address I've given you everything you need officer what's your phone number I'm not giving you that officer I'm not required to what's your social security I'm not giving you that officer I'm not required to and no cry My job is hard cuz he won't work with me or you won't talk to me they're there to give you a ticket and steal your money never cooperate with the police never answered their questions remain silent and they have 25 minutes to give you a ticket or send you on your way

  9. "Someone has taught this gentleman to refuse to communicate with officers"

You mean EVERY LAWYER WHO EVER LIVED!!!?????

  10. Giving up your rights is the equivalent of the self checkout line and a Speedy process for the police department a revenue generating option they love. Maybe it's time to get rid of the self checkout/self incriminating style and make them think before they set personal goals of detaining 20 or so people in one day. 🤔

  11. SERIOUSLY?!
A FB post, complaining about asserting rights… there's a new logo for that: the PINK n' BLUES!! These LEO's have too much time on their hands!

  12. I think baby wipes and butthurt cream would be more appropriate. The wipes are for their tears and you can just imagine what they can do with the cream. I suggest that Ryan get the baby wipes because he sure sounds like he is crying on Facebook.

  13. I actually agree with the police chief that it would be easier and maybe better but what he (the Chief) has to realize is that, that citizens response is 1.legal 2. earned at the macro level because of policies like "broken windows" and "stop and frisk" and policing for profit not to mention earned because of 3. the abuse of pretextual stops and finally 4. little to no accountability and/or transparency because the police, police themselves.

  14. Excellent point James!! Too bad the Chief and his cry babies don't get that people don't have to give up their rights to make them feel better.

  15. This is our reality until we push back — and take back — power. Police need to be brought to heel. They need to understand their place and it is NOT as leader of the pack.

  16. If that Chief Doesn't like to Operate in a Country with a Beautiful Constitution and would Rather Live His Life like a Nazi Gestapo Officer in 1939 style, then he should Move to China or North Korea!

  17. You know your laws!!! But they keep hiring these uneducated ignorant Cops, Best thing we can do is Defund them and get Qualified Immunity done away with that these losers hide behind!!!!

  18. Seems the chief either better straighten out or find a different job. Nobody likes being stopped by any cops, it’s always trouble. Mostly started by them.

  19. F the police in Winterville. The chief (Ryan C. Willhite) sounds like a first class p*$$y. My guess is that the C. is for crybaby. Perhaps James Freeman can send dolls along with Butt Hurt Cream (the extra large tube). We have a Fifth Amendment for a reason and I commend the man for invoking his rights. We also have a First, Second, Fourth, and Sixth Amendment that we should all memorize to prevent thin skinned officers from trying to violate our rights under the color of authority. If their skin is that thin, then they should apply at another job. May I suggest McDonald's or Walmart? Naturally, however, you won't be able to violate someone's rights, you have no arrest powers, you can't kill someone and get a vacation out of it and nobody will take your word over a customer's word (especially if the issue is on store video and you are in the wrong). You won't have a strong union or the District Attorney on your jock so you will need to be civil. If you are petty, retaliatory, and/or condescending to the public you will get fired without any do-overs. But, it is honest work and you can be proud at the end of the day because you will have earned your paycheck. Another bonus is that since you are no longer a cop you can possibly earn the respect of the public which is something that you will never get being a cop. Your fellow blue line tyrants already pissed on all of the respect that was so freely given for so many decades. Got to love everybody having cameras and YouTube!

  20. I have never ever seen or been involved with police where the "conversation ended" no, the cops demand ID then start asking about weapons as a precursor to "can I search your car" and then they escalate the hell out of it. 20 min stop by refusing to answer vs 90 min while they search car and possibly longer and a life ruined if you get a cop that likes to plant drugs. Must be why all attorneys say respond to the cops with "I don't answer questions"
Obvious note, cops roll up to situation, run the tags, see that the tags come back to that address…..or even an address within a block or so….now why did the brave cops get out and bother the man?

  21. you poor baby pathetic the more you say is want they went attorneys well tell you not to talk to police way the not your friend there look for a way to make revenue of you even in a stop ask a attorney

  22. Thank you JS for publicizing another violation of the law by 'law enforcement', and the ludicrous attitude and narrative they put out for the lickers and the stupid.

  23. Funny thing: didn't the Kyle Rittenhouse judge not just scold, but lay into the prosecution for saying that utilizing your 5th amendment raises suspicion? Do these people have their heads up their asses?

  24. So, I live in Southeastern NC. Winterville is a "suburb" of Greenville, NC, which is a lovely town, has a great university, really good medical school. With that said, the chief sounds like he got his feelings hurt and wishes to malign the non-police parties involved. Me-thinks the blue-line gangster doth protest too much.

  25. stupid cop: the damn U.S. Constitution is always in our way…
Good Citizen that's the BRILLIANCE of the God,the Founding Father's and the inspiration of The U.S. Constitution

  26. This pig chief needs a penis pump and harmonies, maybe his manhood will drop enough he can lead and understand the constitution

  27. It's difficult for us today, to realize how our founding fathers would have handled a situation. For instance, you've been the most diehard fake patriot cannot possibly even fathom sacrificing his life for freedom. Especially not when he believes freedom is a fucking flag, we're just a word on his under armor t-shirts. There's nothing more pathetic than a fake ass. Patriot who genuinely believes that he is somehow like Thomas Jefferson in his patriotism and love for freedom. Not only are the vast majority of Americans completely oblivious in their understanding of what freedom is, but they fail to recognize that the British soldiers were patriots also. Patriotism is worth absolutely nothing!

I want to throw up in my mouth when I hear people pledge in their fucking allegiance to a flag. Do you seriously believe our founding fathers would have pledged allegiance to a goddamn flag?

  28. "…the conversation ends…"

By a show of hands, how many of you EVER seen a cop ask a SINGLE question and the conversation ends IMMEDIATELY after they receive an answer.

    Anyone?

    Anybody?

    Bueller?

    <crickets>

  29. now that I have seen the picture of the person who was stopped………the stopped person was a person of color, wonder if that had anything to do with the stop?
