  10. I live in Lake City. The Sheriff's Office has more than their share of morons. I'm not buying the story on the report for the initial stop ("routine patrol"). The Sheriff's Office does courthouse security (one block from where the arrest took place), the City of Lake City Police Department is three blocks away, within the city limits. Sheriffs doing routine patrols within the city limits? OR…. he reported for jury duty, was told it was canceled, had words with the moron deputies in the courthouse, they call their buddies to stop him on his way home, under the premise that two sticks in a back pocket look like a gun.

  44. Look up the White Cane Laws for states. Guarantee the supervisor was poking at his vision status to try and get him on one of these laws.

    Blind Justice was harassed and many officers commented about hoping to see him walking around using the white cane when they said he could “clearly see.”

    It wasn’t about someone breaking a law or committing a harm it was about them creating an excuse to exercise their power over him. The only thing they feared was getting sued, not actually respecting citizens.

I have come across many channels that don't do this and it gives me the vibe that they don't actually care and are just doing it for the view. I could be wrong about said channels but when all you can do is be angry at what happened with no way to help invoke change being provided by links or simply information to find the departments responsible it leaves a person like me think " what's the point of me watching this when I have zero ways to help"

  47. Here in the UK, our police are far from perfect, but calling a member of the public a "dick" (like the female officer does here) would be enough to get an officer fired . . . without even looking at all the other abuses of power.
    This is the sort of policing you see in the third world or some Soviet era Eastern European dictatorship, there is no other western country where you'd see anything close to the disdain the US police have for the public.
