2. I DO NOT understand how in the hell lawsuits against officers and police departments settle or pay out with tax dollars. The people who sue are suing the OFFICER(S) and/or the DEPARTMENT. Not the PEOPLE. When we get sued, we don’t get to dip into the community pot. How in the hell is it legal and why is no one vocal about doing something about it?!

3. Not a fan of police at all, but the simple fact is officers on duty are in fact permitted to carry their service firearm wherever they go.

   Instead of arguing, the proper course of action should have been to pause the proceedings, until all the parties could have gone before the judge.

18. After traumatic events it is perfectly normal to speak to it callously and insensitively to help the mind deal with the trauma. To downplay is a mechanism to deal with the pain sadness or trauma. I don’t see anything from this officer to show me that he is a danger or this was anything but an accident with his decompression psychologically afterwards. Also it’s very difficult to hear exactly what is being said with the unclear voice. Could be completely different that what the attorney thinks is being said.
