Albion Police arrested three people suspected of robbing an Albion pharmacy after a high speed chase on I-94 through Calhoun County on Saturday. Albion Police said that two men held up the Parks Drug Store in Albion around 9 a.m. The two suspects pulled a gun and took off with prescription drugs.

Albion officers said they started the pursuit after seeing the suspected vehicle headed north on Clinton St. and the chase ended up on I-94 headed toward Battle Creek. Police said that was the point the suspected vehicle hit speeds over 100 miles per hour.

Police said during the chase the suspected car popped a tire, but they continued fleeing at a high speed.

Michigan State Police were able to run the car off the road near Beckley Rd. after it got off I-94 at M-66 in Battle Creek.

  1. Fantastic teamwork. Secondary busted right in after the PIT and ensured the suspect couldn't escape. He must have been out of his commission vic in less than 2 seconds. Very impressive.

  2. The efficiency of breaking that passenger window and flinging the door open is phenomenal. Only took a few seconds to have the suspect dragged out and on the ground. Well done, officers!
