The Most Powerful Moment in Amber Guyger Trial

In a situation where he, as a victim like his brother Botham, could have been hopeless or hate filled, Brandt Jean shows grace, compassion and forgiveness in a powerful, transformative way. I couldn’t go to sleep without sharing this as it’s having a significant impact on me. I hope it impacts you too and that Botham’s family can know that his loss isn’t in vain.

I also want to acknowledge I agree that Guyger should have been charged and so believe the jury came to the appropriate conclusion. I didn’t want to take away from this moment with additional commentary from me.

  1. Although she’s being punished, by him forgiving her, he released her of from all the guilt she’ll ever feel for the rest of her life 🙏🏽

  2. I’m an atheist but I can say without question that that man is a true Christian, not one of the hypocrites whom I usually despise

  3. Wow

    Just wow

May God bless this young man and his family and may the lady come to know Jesus' incredible love and forgiveness for her!

  4. Brandt Jean is a JUDAS! He may as well, have killed his brother himself. White people can salivate over this disgraceful video all you want to. I would never forgive any of you, if you did less than fraction to me, of what that, racist murderous, Amber Guyger did to Botham Jean. White people have the hypocritical audacity, to try to preach forgiveness to Black people, when you never forgive anybody; for anything. But, you expect forgiveness for killing peoples' family members. GTFOH!

  5. I honestly hate pussies. This poor poor soul. Has no idea your God expects you to murder everything that does not worship him.

  6. The man deserves respect, but I would not have let him get physical contact with a defendant. For all you know, he's just looking for an opportunity to get close and strike. Personally, if I was allowed to "hug" someone who killed a family member, the hug would be fingers around their throat and I'd be burying the other fist into their face repeatedly, just wrecking them as fast as I can before the bailiffs can pull me off.

  7. So you feel that the most powerful moment was when the brother of the murder victim forgave the police officer? That’s interesting, but not surprising.

  8. I would have never embraced some one that performed killed a family or close friend. Just the fact that she was already laughing it up with Martin Rivera the next day or so courtesy of text message tells me she is NOT what she was portrayed on the stand. If she was sorry, she would have just said, no trial, send me to prison I screwed up, and paid restitution to the family but she didn't.

  9. People are so dumb… this judge completely violated her oath and was absolutely biased in this case. Amber guyger is just another of the thousands and thousands of officers who are overzealous and scared to death of their own shadow. We need to stop hiring brainless cowards as officers. Like the idiot that just killed the lady on a "welfare" check. Absolutely and unequivocally a person who did not follow procedure and was so freaking afraid that he fired his gun in less than 2 seconds upon seeing another human being.

  10. Uh yeah, about that, so many errors and broken rules. There is separation of church and state for a reason. What this judge allowed and did was egregious. The theatrics on display was shameful.

The only thing Guyger was sorry about was losing her freedom, not about killing an unarmed man in his own home. I bet she (and her attorneys) were cackling in glee when Tammy allowed that bullshit.

  11. Wow the respect I have for that man. I look for the best of people, but it would be hard for me to do what he did. Bravo to this man for being a good Christian and not saying she did it on purpose

  12. Mad respect to this dude and praise to God for giving him a forgiving, merciful heart. Keep it up man.

  13. He is a better man than me. if lost my loved one to her and the judge would have allowed me to get close to her I would have tried to choke her to death. Good he can forgive and move on

  14. sorry, there is no god. this is the part mike shares about this whole trial. come on man. you share this but yet you block people on your facebook account who call out your hypocrisy and racism. you constantly try to make points by making videos and remarks about shaun kings silly remarks that are not held by most people to say those you agree with are bad and silly.

mike really does make me sick. I really get sick when I see this blatant racism come from mike. I get sick when I see him call himself a sheep dog but I only see him punch down by going after people who are less articulate then him. I get sick when I see the hypocrisy in his rhetoric. what really makes me sick is that there are so many people who agree with mike when he puts this on full display and gets cheers in the comments. it is not that bad that mike does all this, the reall problem is how many people come here to get their flawed views supported by such a public person.

yes, your thin blue line may mean something about brotherhood to you, it is born and shared from a racist intent. the kkk members used their symbols and rhetoric as brotherhood also. it is what it implies or promotes to non-members that shows the real message. heck, gang colors, symbols and rhetoric are are brotherhood to its members, I dont see many in this page supporting that.

  15. wow that was some moment for that young man to say that he's got big things that he will accomplish as he gets older if it's a pastor or some sort of advisor to the youth that's a person with a tremendous heart I wish him success and to continue to real life that way

  16. God blessing forgiveness is one of the hardest things to do I'm a Christian and I don't know if would be able to do the same thing that you just did is definitely a true Christian

  17. I don't believe I could be that strong if someone murdered my brother in cold blood. I'm as peaceful as they come but I would want blood
