Warren, Ohio — On November 2, 2022, a Warren Police Officer noticed a male wanted for felonious assault. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the suspect, 39-year old Lamar Mitchell refused to pull over. Officers then pursued after Mitchell on North Park Avenue. The pursuit ended when Mitchell crashed into a vehicle in the area of North Park and Washington Street NE. Mitchell fled his vehicle on foot following the crash behind a daycare center. As Officers pursued after Mitchell, Mitchell forced his way through a rear door of the daycare center as an employee walking back into the daycare center was attempting to shut the door. Officers followed after Mitchell and as they entered the same doorway, Mitchell raised his hand towards the officers and threatened to “shoot” them. An officer attempted to tase Mitchell but was unsuccessful. Officers were able to apprehend Mitchell after he fled into a classroom, where several young children were located. Mitchell has been charged with the following:
Failure to comply
Felonious assault
Aggravated burglary
Four counts of aggravated menacing

  1. Dam that could have turn really bad if y’all didn’t get him then.. I think he should have been shot in the leg as soon realizing y’all next to a daycare

  2. If my kid went there id demand the doors be secured at all times from this point forward. I wouldn't be mad as it was nobodies fault but this should be a good lesson. Now teach him one too

  3. Dude already served 3 years for robbery and a list of other charges in the past, he’s no stranger to prison. He will be going away for even longer this time with the list of charges from this incident. Good riddance ✌️

  4. They had to keep up with him. Or else this POS would’ve grabbed a child and held it hostage or something.
Remember, daycare centers; keep doors locked. Especially back doors
PS anyone else notice he shoved that little kid out the way in that little pit?? Unbelievable garbage

  5. Thank God the Officers were right there! Those daycare employees need to be looked at! why was that woman standing with the door propped open?!? That place doesn’t look secure as it is

  6. Those doors should be locked at all times. The school my daughter goes 2 you have to coded doors to go thru before access to any kid.

  7. And to add insult to injury the fine district attorneys and the local politicians have already or will be creating cashless bail!!
Illinois starts this fiasco on Jan 1st 2023. It seems a sure fire way to create an atmosphere for MORE CRIME!!

  8. I would think this preschool might want to rethink their security and maybe lock their door to better protect those kids. Isn't that kind of door supposed to be self locking and only opens from the inside?

  9. Thus is one of those situations where the body cams need to get turned off and footage erased…and then make this subhuman scumbag magically "disappear" forever.
