I maybe wrong, but I thank since they had not broken a law nor accused of braking a law, everything after that became fruit of the poison tree. unjustified id check and search so everything after would be thrown out in court. hence turn of video and lets get this story straight so we do not say something stupid on record. i do think when they have private "cop talk and training it is allowed. I would love to be the judge on this case. These cop should go to prison for tampering with evidence and rights violations. They should not be able to cut the video or audio. I would throw out every charge they try.

Sgt asks why did you stop him? We didn't he was just sitting in a car. He realized at that point there was no probable cause. Ok turn everything off because we're fucked and need to tune these guys up to asd some charges because being nervous around cops and sitting in a vehicle is not illegal. I'd be nervous too if 2 things walked up on me while resting. I personally love how the cop threatens the driver saying dont move a muscle.

The supervisor is hella mad because there might be an undergoing investigation and the driver was an informant.
It should be a crime for the police to turn off their body cameras during an interaction with citizens.

Conducting an investigation with no basis and the superior knows it and that's why he said shut up, don't say anything and turn the camera's off.

The Sgt knew it was a BS stop, the guys in the car were not breaking the law. The constitution says you can plead the 5th and do not have to talk to the cops.
The sergeant is mad because his officer F’d up. There was no reason for the stop initially which makes everything afterwards inadmissible. It doesn’t matter that the guy fled from an illegal detainment. The firing of the taser also opens up a use of force lawsuit. That’s why he made them turn off the cameras.
