Pt 2: Police Chief Investigated by Police for Planting Camera

@CopsConsTV obtained lapel and security footage from a criminal investigation into the Bernalillo Police Department Police Chief for installing a security camera with audio inside a sergeants shared office in the BPD station. This is the interview with Chief Broderick Sharp being interviewed by New Mexico State Police.

Police Chief Broderick Sharp installed the camera in the office to keep an eye on his police staff. It was installed in an air vent. A female sergeant found out about and filed a criminal compliant because she felt the Chief was spying on her and seeing her change clothes.

The State Police found no wrong doing and closed the case.

  1. This cheif is honest and completely transparent. It seems like he genuinely wants to make the department a better place and the officers that have already been their dont like the fact hes keeping them honest.

  2. I dont see a problem with a camera in a common area, this happens all the time. It holds everyone accountable and keeps people honest. If your not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.

  3. I really want to like the chief. He’s saying all of the right things. But, he is going above and beyond accommodating. Almost forcing it. The ol’ doth he protest too much…🤔

  4. The same chief who had an issue with the Sgt for charging his daughter in an accident, and suddenly, he wants a camera to monitor her and her computer screen. Hmmm

  5. If he didn’t hide it why didn’t he tell everyone it was there I believe they should have cameras everywhere because most cops are dirty but this guy is lying so bad he should have put it on the wall not hide it why she was gone on vacation bullshit he’s a liar

  6. Bullshit he didn’t say put it in the vent he’s is guilty because he keeps trying to justify why it’s in there because of a fight and someone stealing he’s a liar

  7. I believe these cops probably robbed lied stole from each other along with the public. It's scary to see cops act like this towards each other ypu can imagine what they would do to you if the felt you were in the wrong or out to get them. They would hang you by your toenails. This is worse then police brutality

  8. This police station is jacked! It's sad when LE act like children. One person is trying to make things better and rotting fruit in the basket if you will are souring the entire batch.

  9. I get why he installed a functioning camera that recorded audio after he was told the cameras there are basically useless. But why did he hide it in an air vent instead of just putting it up on the wall where people could see it?

  10. I’m laughing so hard when they asked if they knew they were being recording and then they pan to the screen that has all the cameras including that room.

  11. Under that police chief your town is going to experience heavy losses. He is a potential liability to the taxpayers of that town. Rogues will not feel free to do as they please

  12. Keep in mind, these ain’t factory workers, or a construction crew, THESE ARE POLICE OFFICERS! SWORE AN OATH TO UPHOLD THE LAW! THEY ARE PAID TO PROTECT US! THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE EXEMPLARY OUTSTANDING CITIZENS!
    THEY ARE ALL SCUMBAGS! CRIMINALS!
    Smh…

  13. Chief Broderick Sharp and Lieutenant Chris Stoyell should be placed on Megans Law list for being pervert's. Put it on my list that I will NEVER visit this town do to these two DIRTY officers. When you want to hide a camera, Hire "Secret Squirrel" and don't tell female officers. I love how police investigate police and No fault found. Chief Broderick Sharp tells him where to put it and then dances around "OH, I didn't know?".

  14. Makes you wonder why tf the other officers are so mad /bitter about the cameras watching them ohhhh lmao 🐷🤡
The Chief did the right thing by installing those cameras ..

  15. These women who go into the police department, or the fire department deciding they are going to take these men on and change the world. 🤦‍♀️ I was in the fire department as a volunteer year’s ago when it was truly a mans world. When I got there they truly hated me, but I became one of them, did my job, if I wanted to take a shower I went to everyone and asked if they needed to use the bathroom, asked if they could give me 20 minutes, they all gladly did, I never had a problem, and had everyone’s respect. Just take it down a notch ladies, you’re life will improve.

  16. My God what a wonderful man and police officer this guy is. He has my utmost admiration and respect and if more officers and most especially superiors have the temperament and moral structures this man and my God with the United States of America be a much better place.

  17. Ok, let’s be honest, placing the camera in the vent was definitely deliberate.. but his whole intention was to put an end to all the corruption. The whole department knew the existing cameras weren’t recording, so they took advantage and schemed.

The I.T. guy could have damn well got the existing cameras, or at least the one camera… recording properly for less than the cost of the new install.

  18. Damn! I had no interest ever of being a police officer until I heard this guy. I've always heard of petty BS at all jobs really. But for someone to want to stand against that and make it a better place I stand 100000% behind that and would join for the opportunity to work with someone that values American officer values to the fullest. True everyday hero to me.

  19. Anybody that doesn't want to work with this Chief is simply uneasy because he won't "play ball" with the ghosts in your closet. He's a role model for all law enforcement.

  20. Ok 2nd half is all repeating sound like dead horse.. "this office fucked up" "I'm just telling you about these general orders" 30 times so you don't forget???
