Several videos has just been released in the arrest of murder suspect, D’Juan Holloway. Police say D’Juan Holloway got all the way to New Mexico before he was taken into custody. The capital murder suspect is accused of shooting and killing 19-year-old Ray Howze near a convenience store on Old Pass Road in Gulfport.
Investigators say Holloway then stole the victim’s car, and made his cross-country getaway on I-10. Five miles inside the state of New Mexico authorities finally caught up with him.A New Mexico State Police officer spotted the suspect on I-10, and tried to pull him over.
That’s when investigators say Holloway took off, eventually leading officers from four different agencies on a chase that ended in gunfire.The officers said Holloway fired shots at them, and they fired back. No officers were injured, but Holloway was.
After being taken into custody, he was transported to a nearby hospital. He then had to be airlifted to the University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas where Monday night he was in stable condition.
The 23-year-old currently has a warrant for capital murder and carjacking out of Gulfport. The circumstances surrounding this incident are being investigated by the New Mexico State
Police Investigations Bureau.
