Police Mundanity: Oakland Man Protests Cell Phone Ticket

In this video we take a brief step back from the celebrity stops and intense foot chases to cover a police encounter that many will be able to relate to: a traffic stop.

(Though hopefully fewer will relate to the whole “roadside courtroom” deal. Save it for the judge, dude…)

  1. He should get a ticket just for being a little bitch and arguing a stupid cell phone ticket on the side of the road. Go to court dude

  2. Easy to solve and prove on the spot. All he needs to do is show no phone calls were conducted in the last couple minutes on his phone by letting the officer look.

  3. The cop screwed up but when the ticket is issued too bad, over and done with. I believe the guy was talking to his hand.

  4. I’ve been a police officer for over a decade… and the driver is probably right on this one. The officer didn’t sound very confident.

  5. The side of the road is NOT the place to argue about it…argue the shit in COURT where it belongs. Piece of shit was argumentative, rude, raising his voice and cussing…and on top of that he made his wife/girlfriend/mistress late for work. DOUCHEBAG!

  6. I got pulled over and ticketed for running a red light. The cop was 100% wrong. He had me out of my car, facing his as he asked me many questions. I told him the light turned green on my side. He asked if I was on medication. I took the ticket and I was pissed because I didn't run the light but I didn't say anything to the cop. I did talk to a friend the next day and he asked me how many traffic violations have I done in my lifetime that I didn't get caught for. My goodness how could I even count them. He said to pay this one as an amends for all the ones I never got caught for. Wow, what a powerful lesson to learn.

  7. Um, I believe the cop heard you the first 3 times, sir. You have made your point. He'll likely feel guilty and not show up, but that's the best you're likely to get.
Just be glad that you were calm and got the OK to be moving around looking for your paperwork. That was smart and everyone should do that nowadays, JIC.

  8. That's the problem of people they want to think the policeman is the judge and I want to argue the case on the side of the road

  9. Could of just shown the cop his call log to prove he wasn't talking on the phone. If that didn't work, just request a copy of your phone records from your provider and compare it to the time the ticket was issued. Judge will dismiss it right away

  10. I’m surprised the cop didn’t say “Have a nice day!” to the motorist after issuing the citation.

  11. The first comment the jackass made he found himself GUILTY 🤣
The cellphone was in my hand. Well dumbass, it should have been in your pocket or some place else.
And then you changed your story.
