The Marion County Sheriff’s Office released dash cam of a chase of a Pizza Delivery driver’s Stolen Vehicle that occurred on March 20-2022.

TWO TEENAGERS WERE ARRESTED AFTER STEALING A PIZZA DELIVERY DRIVER’S VEHICLE.

On Sunday, March 20, 2022, The Marion County Sheriff’s Office received information that a pizza delivery driver’s vehicle, which was stolen while the driver was out delivering pizzas in Gainesville, may be in Marion County.

Deputy Karr located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.
However, the driver of the vehicle, 16-year-old Keishawn Jelks, refused to stop.
Deputy Karr initiated a pursuit and, when Jelks attempted to get onto I-75 Northbound, Deputy Karr disabled the vehicle by performing a successful P.I.T. maneuver.

Jelks and his passenger, 17-year-old Dontarrius Wise, were both detained. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located two pizzas in the backseat.

Jelks was ultimately arrested and charged with
Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle,
No Valid Driver’s License, and
Fleeing to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer.

Wise was arrested and charged with
Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

“They were both transported to our Gold Star Hotel and then to the Department of Juvenile Justice to be held in secure detention.” police said

  6. Wow look at who the criminals are. Wow I am so surprised I would have never guessed those were the criminals. I mean wow it’s unheard of I am speechless.

    Historically speaking I am taken back by what the criminals turned out to be. Unbelievable and unpredictable I mean wow I am truly shocked. WHO Would have guessed it.

  7. All well and good, but what about the loss of earnings and the insurance company not paying out for a while. Seems unfair that a person is trying to work and then you have these two who have zero respect for the owner, fellow road users & the officers who had to pursue them.
