Sparks, Nevada — The Sparks Police Department released body camera footage of an Officer-Involved Shooting that occurred in January of 2020. On January 5, 2020, Sparks Police Officers responded to a call in the 1000 block of Rock Boulevard. Officers met with the reporting party who informed officers that her son, identified as Miciah Lee, suffered from mental health issues, threatened to commit “suicide by cop,” and had driven away from the area with a firearm. Officers located a vehicle matching the description provided by the reporting party, and the driver, later identified as Lee, attempted to elude officers. Lee’s vehicle rear-ended another citizen’s vehicle at a stop sign at the intersection of 15th Street and Rock Boulevard.

Officers attempted to block Lee’s vehicle and gave Lee verbal commands to exit the vehicle. Lee was able to push a police vehicle and the civilian’s vehicle out of the way by driving forward and in reverse. Lee then left the area at a high rate of speed. Shortly thereafter, Lee wrecked his vehicle near the intersection of North McCarran Boulevard and Rock Boulevard. Officers partially blocked Lee’s vehicle. A Sparks Police K9 was deployed to remove Lee from the vehicle, and officers approached Lee. As officers were attempting to remove Lee from the vehicle, a struggle ensued, and Lee attempted to access a firearm. Officers fired their service weapons at Lee, striking him. Medical attention was requested, but Lee was pronounced deceased at the scene.

  1. *mother crying* eh they always be crying who cares
*officer crying* *starts crying as well* yo where the tissues at

  2. The police have such a hard job, it pisses me off how they’re constantly demonized and attacked by the disgusting corporate media

  3. The “FUCK” the officer said was truly heartbreaking, he didn’t want to shoot him, then he started crying and that just shows you how much this really affected him.

  4. Excellent kill by the officers. This piece of human crap was killed justifiably thus preventing any further danger to officers and the public. Excellent police work; God bless law enforcement.

  5. I really felt bad for the cop that shot him, he was in a no-win situation against someone that has declared they intend to suicide by cop, was known to be mentally unstable, and known to be armed and willing to use it.
I'm sorry the guy died, but he had a history of mental problems and drug use, and, no matter his mental state of mind, he made the decisions he did, he declared his intention, and acted it out.

I feel sorry for that poor cop that shot him.

  6. Ok real talk,

Imagine you're the cop that just went through all of this in the video, now imagine having another call 5 minutes later about a robbery, rape, murder, or somethin like that.
You wouldnt be able to handle it right? Yet this is their daily job AND EVEN THEN SOME (Not all) spit on officers, curse them out and throw rocks at them.
Atleast respect them, they are humans with a really difficult job.

  7. I watch a lot of these videos. And honestly this one hurts the most. My heart goes out to the officer for him to suffer for his life saving actions. It literally hurt his soul to have to do that. I pray he heals from this traumatizing incident.

  8. This one really broke my heart for all involved. I hate that people get to the end of their rope and pull others into the current. I've bern there a few times and managed to make my way through/out. It's sad on so many levels.

  9. It is very obvious that cop did not want to kill anybody.. The Democrat party really needs to stop running around claiming that cops just wanna kill people. They need to realise it's more than a political movement they are destroying lives.
