Passenger Steals Car After Driver Gets Arrested

On January 15, 2019 a trooper with the New Mexico Department of Public Safety conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed speeding through a school zone. Upon making contact with the driver, the trooper determined that his license was suspended. The driver was taken into custody and placed in the back seat of the trooper’s patrol car. At the same time, a second unit joined the trooper on the stop.

After some time, while the trooper was engaging in conversation with the arrestee, a sound caught his attention: the car he had stopped? It was starting. The trooper ran toward the car as it peeled out, and the backup unit on scene gave chase.

  1. Ya know I dont really blame the third passenger they caught for running to cover. He prolly feared being shot. If you'll notice he didnt run and keep running he just jumped out and took cover by fence. May not be the best cover or idea but still they could had lit the car up.

  2. The one thing that stood out to me was the officers concern for the other officer. I miss that brotherhood. Was good to hear that. Glad they were all OK. Dude was trying to hide something…

  3. Again … inexplicable that you start the video with a scene from the middle. Your channel is great but you are trying too hard and overproducing. You need to have more respect for your content.

  4. If only Jeremy Dewitte was there parachuting in from above to drop in through the roof like 007.

  5. I feel for the driver getting arrested, but still, speeding through a school zone, not cool. And pestering the officer while he's trying to come to the aid of the other officer, not too bright.

  6. Could this be okay? Like if my buddy get arrested and says i can take the car could I just leave after they start taking him in? I wonder if a good lawyer could argue it out

  7. Technically, the driver arrested first could get his case dropped or a good plea deal if the officer was speeding with him handcuffed in the back seat. It's a violation for the people,

  8. That’s sad.. the guys clearly addicted to pills cuz he is scared to DEATH to go to jail. Or a heroin addict.. the cop should’ve had a clue
