Las Cruces Police officer Adrian Del La Garza has been seen from his body camera footage seen PITing Omar Cueva’s truck and getting into a gun fight.
Del La Garza was hit by Cueva and then proceeded to continue the gun fight killing Cueva. This video is his interview with New Mexico State Police investigators who were gathering interviews from witnesses and officers involved in the critical incident.

Honestly this is one of the bravest things I have ever seen. He didn't have to put his life in jeopardy but he knew he was best suited to end this guy and did it anyway. Unfathomable bravery.

I think some people forget the officer behind La Garza kept Cueva from approaching La Garza, while he was lying on the ground, by engaging the POS with his firearm.

Ya I agree 100% this man is an outstanding example of what I personally think all police officers should strive to be like. He is very well spoken and makes sure he is keeping himself in good physical condition by hitting the gym everyday. Also his extra training He partakes in as well as teaches. We need more smart, confident and well trained men like this wearing the badge. It's no wonder to me now He was at the tip of the spear to help eliminate that evil piece of shit scum from this earth. It is most notable that he didn’t beat his chest. He didn’t gloat. In his dash cam footage he’s breathing heavy. He’s anxious, but he knows this man needs to be stopped and he’s closest to him.
He took a painful shot, fell back in pain but popped back up and took the fight to the cop killer.

Tough officer no doubt and I'm happy he got rounds on the guy but I feel that he's full of himself. Sitting here boasting about all the advanced classes he's done. Almost caused an accident and damn near got himself killed trying to medal of honor the entire thing.
