Newton County Chief Deputy Arrested by Arkansas State Police – Everything Law and Order Blog

On May 12, 2019 Newton County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Michael Kyle Dunn was arrested by Arkansas State Police Trooper Michael Valentine, after Valentine observed Dunn’s vehicle swerve almost entirely off the road in Rural Boone, Arkansas.

Dunn was cited for driving while intoxicated – first offense and for refusing to submit to a chemical test of his breath. Dunn resigned from his job in the immediate aftermath of his arrest.

Although Boone Municipal Court records are not available online, a telephone call to the clerk of courts earlier today revealed that Dunn was found guilty of driving while intoxicated. He was ordered to pay an $800 fine and was sentenced to one year in jail, with all but one day suspended. For that day, he received credit for time served.

Note that Trooper Valentine’s statements about “the limit” being “8%” are wrong. The per se limit is .08%, not 8%. An eight percent blood alcohol concentration would be fatal many times over.

  1. You see how alcohol can ruin you in the blink of an eye. He knows better, but alcohol rules. Others don’t get off why should he ☹️🙁☹️

  2. I already have a strong hatred for these criminals and now when I thought I couldn't hate a lazy lying coward cop more I realized I hate them even more after seeing this hell he did everything but handfeed him baby food

  3. I would have been shot dead all the times he put his hands in his pockets. He looked like he was contemplating running. Dam dummy tried the door smh. The. The sucka really wanted to O d on them pills drinking that water trying to sober up. What the hell does he keep looking forward in his pockets.

  4. What a pro. "We used to slap people around just for back talking. We can't do that anymore." 😉 Then he gives him water to take some f*cking medication?!

  5. The arresting office should be disciplined and or fired. did not follow policy as he stated, I can give you professional courtesy and strap you in front or handcuff you in back. It is policy, nothing I can do. He did neither. Improper search before placing suspect in back of patrol vehicle. Nothing he did was professional. What a shame this is. These are not the Officers needed or wanted policing our streets and/or cities/towns.
