This officer-involved shooting occurred opposite 3555 Bainbridge Avenue in the Norwood section of the Bronx on October 17, 2019. During the incident, sergeant Jonathan Rivera attired in uniform and assigned to the 52nd precinct, discharge one round from his service firearm during a confrontation with a subject, who was attempting to drive away from the scene of a traffic stop, while engaged in a struggle with apprehending officers. The incident began at approximately 2:50 p.m. when the subject Allan Feliz, a 31 year old male was observed by the officers driving a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. Sergeant Rivera, assigned with police officer Edward Barrett and police officer Michelle Almanzar stop the vehicle opposite 3555 Bainbridge Avenue. Feliz presented identification to the officers and a computer check revealed active warrants. Officer Barrett then asked Feliz to step out of the car. Feliz initially complied but then returned to the driver’s seat and attempted to drive away. Officer Barrett reached into the vehicle and physically attempted to take control of the vehicle and take Feliz into custody.

From his position on the passenger side of the vehicle, sergeant Rivera discharged his taser through the open passenger window, striking Feliz. Feliz continued to struggle with the officers while attempting to drive away in the vehicle. At this point during the struggle, sergeant Rivera entered the vehicle through the passenger door, reached over an uninvolved passenger and began to grapple with Feliz. Approximately one minute and thirty seconds into the struggle, sergeant Rivera discharged one round from his service firearm, striking Feliz causing his demise. All three officers were equipped with body-worn cameras that were activated for this incident. Officer Barrett’s body camera dislodged from his uniform when he was struck by the subjects car door prior to the firearm discharged. While the body camera did not capture the officer-involved shooting on video, it did record the audio of the incident. After the discharge, the officers called for medical assistance and then performed CPR on the injured subject. Feliz was transported to Montefiore Medical Center by EMS where he succumbed to his injuries

  1. “Don’t shoot me” as he proceeds to endanger lives by attempting to flee… when are these idiots going to realize they won’t get shot if they act like an adult and take accountability for doing something wrong?

  2. They should allow the cops to carry large Bowie knives, so that they can stab people to death as well, to have all methods of killing covered!

  3. an officer must automatically assume you intend to endanger his life, when he issues repeated commands, and you not only resist him, but fight , and continue to fight him. after this ALL BETS ARE OFF. good luck with your ambitious $350 mil.

  4. The more of these video's I see with offensive button b4 I watch it the more of them I will watch . When I see that it tells me the shit bag got shot or killed for doing something stupid. I support law enforcement .

  5. How come there are jobs that require you to cover your tattoos but cops can have tattoos exposed?
I thought you have to be in shape to be a cop? Everyone is huffing and puffing.

  6. The hardest part of this video to me is the fact everything was going fine, the guys were friendly the cops were friendly, and seconds later I hear “don’t make me shoot you!” God, I mean it’s just sad to see how something so innocent can turn so badly in a matter of seconds, “this car has a lot more space than I thought it would” seconds later a man is getting his face beat in and is shot and killed, this is the hardest video I’ve had to watch I think

  7. “They did it because he was brown!!” Yeah? Tell that to the brown guy that had his hands on the dash sitting 2 feet from that dumbass who got beat senseless lmfao

  8. weird how that bodycam certainly got turn away seconds after the shooting and likely turned off. 4:10
another dead dude. because he tried to drive away.. no guns or officers in front of the car and at risk?.
this would no fly in my part of the officer NEEDS TO BE IN LIFE DANGER before he can shoot and take a life.
do they high-five these police dudes in the USA with the most kills on their record,

  9. Dear cops: To avoid these unpleasantnesses in the future, please implement the following procedure: Get out of the car. (driver refuses or starts running his or her mouth)…..BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM. Passenger, get out of the car……

  10. "Video taken after the shooting shows Allan Feliz lifeless and bleeding, his pants and underwear pulled down below his knees while three officers stand over him and drag him out of the car. One officer performs chest compressions as more police arrive."

  11. Bring him to the back of the car. Every time I see cops question a suspect at the driver’s door 9/10 they will try to jump back in and drive off.

  12. 🤛👨🏿‍🦲🤜🤜🤜🤜👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👮‍♂️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🍻

  13. that fat POS just put his friend's life in danger over something so dumb… I don't get what is wrong with these criminals.. what do they think the best possible outcome is? that they will drive off and then manage to elude cops long enough to escape? And then what? they aren't going to be going back home without cops showing up there, and now they have additional charges… what is the point of doing something this dumb?
