Man Challenges Officers to Suicide by Cop; Gets Free Electroshock Therapy

(Las Cruces, New Mexico) When officers arrive they encounter a suicidal man, contemplating aloud the possibility of suicide by cop. But the cops? They are having nothing of it, insisting that they are not going to kill the guy and urging him to voluntarily admit himself to the hospital for care.

Surprise surprise, the dude continues to reject the whole hospital idea, offering as a counter that he go to war with the police. From there, it’s pretty self-explanatory how the dude earned himself a free round of unlicensed electroshock therapy. Look like it worked, too.

  1. Loved this cop and I'm very particularl about who I trust and respect in law enforcement and he has my respect. It's how I'd honestly hope to be treated if I were to have a problem like that or did in the past. I've been suicidal and almost done this. So scary to think about. I like how he used Just enough to get to work and he seemed like he was gonna get that charge tied up to the mental health crisis and documented everything. He only did that for protocol. I want to say thank you to this officer, there's no telling what's went on to make him act this way but I can guarantee it wasn't pretty.

  2. "Why don't you take control of your own destiny and just… uhhh… do what we tell you to do."
    – I love these moments when someone begins a sentence thinking they're on to a good point, and then half way through it hits them… oh, no, that's not good at all. This makes no sense.

  3. Yeah I know NEVER to ask a cop for help, nearly every bodycam video of this type I`ve seen always ends up the same, "We`re here to help you" or "We`re here to do a welfare check cos we`re worried about you" then….. BANG (either from a gun or taser).

Well thanks for the `help` officer.

  4. Is that the same female officer from the one where the guy was breaking into a house and got the crap beat out of him? She was doing fto.

  5. The way Bradford was moving is exactly the same dance I did back in my Senior Prom. He just did more with his hands. I kept my hands on my dudes and just did the side to side feet jigglers. 🤣🤣

  6. Hope this man gets the help he needs.. Anyone who makes fun of this man is ignorant and cruel, mental health issues aren't a laughing matter… May GOD BLESS him…

  7. As a psych nurse, the officer basically just helped with a crucial mentally ill patient intervention😂.
When he so sweetly said “it’ll just deter you and be painful and silly.”
