    20+ mph over in most states, is an automaticket to arrest.

  6. There are jobs that often get breaks by .police. Other First Responders. police, Fire, EMS. Nurses, Dr.s, POLITE PEOPLE.
    This guy didn’t even know how to “flash his tin”. I saw a pro. “Officer I need to inform you that as a off Duty Officer I am armed at this time”. With his hands on top of steering wheel.

  7. As a retired LE, I obey traffic laws just not to put another officer in a bad position. It was always just a job to me, left it at work when the shift was over…

  8. Cops shouldn't get a break, they still should follow the law. At that high a speed, he should have been given a sobriety test and charged with reckless. If someone that dangerous is allowed to keep their license, what the heck is the license even for? Why not just let anybody drive?

  12. The $64,000 question: Since the speed limit on a rural Nevada interstate is 80 mph, what is the maximum speed where the officer WOULD have let him off under these exact same circumstances? (i.e. no plate, child in backseat, etc.)

    Also 4 U.S. Code § 8 – Respect for flag – No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Also (g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature. Also (i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. At last (k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.

    You should be Ashamed of yourself for this Disfigurement! This is no different then someone burning the Flag. It is a disgrace and insulting to what I have served and others in my family have died for to defend. It shows that you are a Enemy of the State and the Constitution you swore to up hold. You REALLY should consider taking that Abomination down!

  16. 134 mph with a kid in the back of the car and the trooper just lets this asshole drive off with a court date. You people praising this trooper need to pull your head out of your asses. While I'm a huge supporter of police, if I had done this I would probably not only lose my license and have my car towed, but I might be hearing from Child protective services as well.

  20. Hi Mike, My favorite police officer was Officer Joe Bolton he was the host of Our Gangs Clubhouse on WPIX in New York from 1955 until 1970. He hosted The Little Rascals & The Three Stooges daytime shows while conveying a simple message for all youngsters. Officer Joe Bolton was not a real cop but we thought he was and we respected all police officers because of him.

  28. The problem isn't only driving fast, your roads go straight for the most part.
    134 mph is perfectly fine travel speed on unrestricted german highways.
    We probably got a couple more accidents per capita though.

  30. Being an officer he should definitely know better than to be driving that fast especially with the kid in the back. I would absolutely not give anybody a break especially over 100 mph.

  32. most people get Arrested for that I know i would have taken him to jail hit him with the speed the plate and child endangerment and i would have put him in jail and taken his car !!!! having a badge dont put you above the law !!

  33. I was on a road, the speed limit was 75 mph and the reckless driving limit was 80 mph and I went down a hill and was above 80 for a few seconds and got pulled over

  34. Hell, even if I was going 5 over and I got a ticket I would pay it no complaints. Even if that is shitty officer discretion, I still did something wrong in the end. This officer gave that guy the biggest break of his life even though he was clearly disrespecting the officer by making excuses when he himself was an officer and knows what its like.

  35. This road is busy, its beat all to heck, and it runs through deserts that blow sand across it on the daily (flavor for anybody who hasn’t been out there..)
