  1. Question. I often drive 5 miles under the posted speed limit. I think that since I'm a new driver and the way it was explained to me along with basic English. The speed limit should be the limit. Not the recommended speed. Im in texas if that matters. "The flow of traffic" is something i hear often but only in regards to speeding. Rather than going 5 under. What do yall think? Is going 5 miles under in mostly idea conditions ok or should I speed up?

  2. Pulling out of a hiding spot, going from 0 to 70 into traffic and having somebody pulled over on a shoulder of the highway with cars whizzing by seems more dangerous than someone going 10 over the speed limit. Much bigger chance of an accident happening BECAUSE of the traffic stop at that point.

  3. Typically, I’ve never been pulled over on a Florida highway unless I’m going more than 10mph over the speed limit.

  4. In GA, municipal (city) police, sheriff's deputies, and university/campus police cannot cite a driver unless they're speeding in excess of 11 mph over the speed limit regardless of detection method e.g., radar, lidar, pacing, etc.

Georgia State Patrol is not constrained by the same GA statue on speed enforcement so they can ticket you any speeding violation (if they wanted to).

  5. Well my agency due to state law they have to give over 10 over the speed limit before they can pull, so basically state law says you have to give a 10mph grace

  6. Threshold for not citing speeders if they're going 5 over???? Not where I work. We'll cite you for going 1 mile over the limit

  7. Hey nick , I have one question , what are the requirements to become apart of the tactical flight officer/ aviation unit and how do I join it . I just wanna be ready for whats ahead of me

    Much love, stay safe .

  8. Technically a mile over is speeding but its not like everyone has not been that fast over as well as probably would be thrown out of court. But many times you have to be going over 10 over before someone would do anything.

  9. What he meant to say is, in the state of FL, there are not statutes that allows one to get pulled over for going 1-5 over the speed limit. The statute starts at 6 +.

  10. I’ve always heard 8 your great, 9 you’re mine.
OSHP doesn’t usually pull you over unless you go 10+ over the speed limit, following too closely, marked lanes violation.

  11. I love if nick did another duty belt and all the gear on uniform and Compared it to other Police Department around country/world and what they are allowed to carry what he would change on this if was allowed or just go over why some police departments are allowed to carry 4 Mags and others are only allowed to carry Mags 3 and do u think that every police officer should be allowed carry 4 mags

  12. WHEN I WAS A COP, 30 + YEARS AGO, IT WAS DIFFERENT, SAY A 25 MPH ROAD,( WITCH IS ALMOST IMPOSIBLE TO DRIVE) WE GAVE 15 MPH, 45 MPH WAS 11 OVER, ALL WERE DIFFERENT! AS ANY GOOD COP KNOWS, NICK LOVE YOUR PODCASTS, THANKS, AND BE SAFE!!!
PS, I KNOW THIS DID NOT COME UP, BUT THERE ARE "NO QUOTA'S" LIKE EVERYONE THINKS, WELL AT LEAST IN MY 55 MAN FORCE!
