Hit And Run Drunk Driver Tries Reporting Car Stolen, Gets Arrested Instead

Hit and run on foot, that is.

This episode is interesting, as it shows some fundamentals of investigative technique. I’m curious to see what y’all’s thoughts are and will leave the intro at that… other than to mention that the subject’s shirt probably didn’t help his story much.

Enjoy.

  1. Him calling his mom thinking it was going to change something was fucking hilarious. At least the mom wasn't like cops where they're all "I'm a cop, why would you do this?" though.

  2. Why would the officer be trying that hard to give them a break unless they knew they didn’t have sufficient evidence It’ll be a slam dunk

  3. I’m not saying I know his familiar background/situation (nor that his mom isn’t doing the most she can), but this guy needed a father figure or some authority to show him that our actions do indeed have consequences. There’s tremendous value to be found in the contract between soft love and tough love. That’s my 25 year old opinion at least!

  4. You can tell his mom is an enabler which is why he is the way he is. If that was my kid I would be going off on him and would be glad about him getting arrested. It’s tough love but they learn from it.

  5. I had my nice car totaled by a drunk driver who left scene. Right in front of house while I slept. She wrecked 2 cars as mine hit the one in fron of mine when she crashed mine. Their was a witness…her license plate got left behind. But nothing happened because she said she wasnt driving. But she was only owner of car and it was her. But it was dark out so witness didnt count. She got off scott free…so moral of story is it better to leave scene??? Ridiculous! Horrible to do to someone!
