A Milford Center man led Marysville police on a chase Jan. 24 after he was caught allegedly trying to entice a 13-year-old girl.

David B. Moore, 50, was arrested Jan. 24 after leading police on a chase and has been charged with failure to comply with the order of a police officer. More charges could come, said Deputy Chief Tony Brooks.

Marysville police received a call about a possible child enticement around 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, Brooks said.

“He approached a 13-year-old female and tried to lure her to his vehicle or at least away from where she was,” Brooks said.

A Marysville police unit was in the area and quickly found Moore in his van, but when they tried to pull him over, he did not comply, Brooks said.

“The pursuit ensued from the area of Delaware Avenue and U.S. 33 through some traffic up to speeds of 80 to 100 miles per hour,” Brooks said.

Moore’s van caught on fire, and he stopped but would not leave the vehicle and had to be pulled by officers, Brooks said. No one was injured during the chase or vehicle fire.

  1. the fire fighters are not to quick there. They spend a lot of time playing with their hoses. I wouldn't want to have my house catch fire in that area. lol

  2. This is so not okay damn y’all risking ur own lives taking your time.
Cop stay in the car !!!
    Vehicle: booom blows up
    Cop: shots fired

  3. "he stopped but would not leave the vehicle"
Him: "You can't pull me out of my car. I have rights. You're violating my rights.

  4. As much as i like the idea of pedophiles burning alive in their own little kiddie vans, i think its safe to say he didnt have a good time in the joint after the word got out why he was in for.

  5. And no innocent victims. Only damage was the vehicle and hopefully the suspect.

Arresting Officer after processing suspect at jail……there is something I think I forgot to do….what is it….let’s see…remove occupants…Check…..process at Jail….Check…… file report….check …..what was it…….oh yeah…here it is…..Call fire department to extinguish flames!….oh well I will call them after booking the suspect(s)

  6. I just love how they helped him out of the vehicle…Thank God the dog is!! Personally I would’ve pushed him under the vehicle!!

  7. Criminals running from the police don’t care that they often kill innocent drivers. They should be charged with a big felony like attempted homicide or almost murder. Live fire could be useful to save innocent children from death.

  8. Always funn yto read "high speed" and then they are cruising at a rather low speed while the police chills behind them. 😀

  9. Nothing like a good, old fashioned auto flambé. I'm glad they saved the dog. Should have left the creep in the car.
