On March 18, 2017 King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian One helicopter provided crucial air support Kent Police Department in their pursuit and eventual spike-strip (with Washington State Patrol support) of a stolen vehicle and its driver.
Watch as the pursuit unfolds and the eluding car strikes other vehicles, gets PIT-ed twice, and -ultimately – as the car thief ends up proned out on highway asphalt.

This is near where I live. We go close to Kentoften for my husbands VA appts (we go to Seattle).
I personally think that if a helicopter was used to capture a suspected criminal then they should have to pay for the fuel as well as their fines. lol
3:30 Is he really "driving recklessly" though? I mean, he's slowing down at intersections and moving safely around traffic. He might breaking laws but I wouldn't say it's "reckless". When he said "he just barely missed a pedestrian", he makes it sound like he almost hit the guy when in fact he was cautiously going around him and wasn't going to hit him at all. So when he faces court, it will be as if they could possibly charge him with attempted manslaughter or some type of felony reckless endangerment when all he was doing was running lights and improper lane usage. I don't know, I'm sure a case could be made for the opposite.
Imagine if we had signs put up along the highway so when this happens we can let the drivers know so they can get out of the way and make it easier for the police to stop them.

The only chance you have to get away from a chopper is to go somewhere crowded and try to get lost in the crowd. Somewhere like the mall would be a good option. Go into the mall, buy a change of clothes, exit inconspicuously.
