Good Guys Should Have Good Guns

The narrative that ordinary citizens shouldn’t have or don’t need to exercise their right to bear arms is ridiculous. I want to be a strong advocate for gun ownership and responsibility.

I’d be honored if you considered supporting my work on Patreon:

  1. Normal cops like you are cool.

ATF agents? I wouldn't shed a tear if something happened to them specifically.

Sorry, but I have no respect for an agency simply designed to enforce gun laws. Let the FBI and state agencies do that.

  2. idk why this video poped up now, but if you want to talk about statics, It is very unlikely that you will be struck by lightning, but it is "common" sence to avoid playing golf in the rain. Beside if you dont like my guns, then do not buy them.

  3. Now The Shrit!!!
I like the "Thin Blue Line" Flag, NOT. it is 100% against the UNITED STATES CODE TITLE 18-Part I. CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE-CHAPTER 33 – EMBLEMS, INSIGNIA, AND NAMES § 700-Desecration of the flag of the United States-Specifically Subsection (a)(1) – “Whoever knowingly mutilates, defaces, physically defiles, burns, maintains on the floor or ground, or tramples upon any flag of the United States shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.”

Also 4 U.S. Code § 8 – Respect for flag – No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Also (g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature. Also (i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. At last (k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.

You should be Ashamed of yourself for this Disfigurement! This is no different then someone burning the Flag. It is a disgrace and insulting to what I have served and others in my family have died for to defend. It shows that you are a Enemy of the State and the Constitution you swore to up hold. You REALLY should consider taking that Abomination down!

I really am serious with this, this is VERY offensive to the U.S. Flag and ALL that have died for it. It is Unacceptable for the Police to hi-jack the image of the flag for their own agenda. I have no issue with the Police at all. However, you and others need to come up with your own image that you want to use to show your solidarity and quit desecrating the U.S. Flag!

  4. a simple point for anti gun control, there are 2 men one is a criminal with a gun and one is a patriot with a gun. you take away rights to guns and only the patriot loses his gun, making the criminal more dangerous because there is no one to stop him.(Murder and public shootings are illegal these people are braking the law, WHY WOULD THEY FOLLOW THE GUN LAWS IF THEY ARE BREAKING THE OTHER LAWS!!!!)

  5. Before i start,, just wanna say i love the channel,, you are awesome Mike. Now about this video, i am a Canadian and very fortunate to live where i don't really have to worry about being attacked in any way shape or form from someone with a gun. and i agree with our Canadian laws. Now as for the states, i agree with you %100, if you live where weapons are a threat to your safety and of your family. If you chose to own and intend to use the weapon i believe you should understand the impact of owning and being responsible for ownership of what ever happens if you ever use a weapon against another human being, in other word ya better make damn sure your in the right before you blow the mo** Fu****s head off. sorry for a long comment 🙂

  6. There's ABSOLUTELY no reason that law abiding citizens shouldn't be able to own whatever they want! How murders are committed by law-abiding gun owners? NOT MANY! Most liberals are too STUPID to figure out the stats! FUCKING RETARDS!!

  7. I have no problem with people owning semiautomatic rifles but I do believe people should have to go through some sort of psych evaluation, especially if they have no history working for law enforcement or the military. Probably not the best solution. I believe that people should be allowed to own these guns but I also believe in extensive background checks. I’m trying to find a compromise.

  8. Liked and subbed! Long time watcher of the channel. Thanks for what you do – looking forward to your future videos on gun ownership…can i suggest you do a video on taking someone to the range for the first time? – those videos are really popular. Mr. GunsnGear and Warrior Poet Society have good ones to learn from.

  9. They quickly forget about the Sutherland Springs church shooter being stopped by a former NRA firearms instructor who was armed with an AR15.

  10. Mike the cop.
I would like to know your opinion on veterans owning firearms especially veterans that are receiving a pension from the VA aka 100% Service connected VA disability.
I don’t want to get into the The legality of a disabled veteran owning a firearm.
Love your videos keep doing them and stay safe

  11. Mike If as a police officer you are called to a crime scene of shot fired and the first person you see is the homeowner that has a gun legally out. With seconds to make a decision could you see the outcome ending badly. Police cant differentiate the good and the bad in that time frame.

  12. This is one of the main reasons why I am moving my family to the US from Canada so I can pursue a LEO career…I want to live somewhere where I can carry off duty to protect myself and my family.

  13. Thanks for supporting the 2A and it's all great that 'most' police you know are 'pro-gun'…
Here's a problem I've had for a very long time.
I have NEVER seen police agencies publicly speak out against anti-2A laws when these idiot politicians come up with them. They seem to gladly enforce them even as supposedly 'pro-gun' as they are.
What's even worse is that police are always exempt from those anti-2A laws.
I say no exemptions for LE ever.. feel the pain like the rest of us until they finally fight back and say 'no'.

  14. Stephen Willeford, Zach Peters, Jonathan Haith, Rami Murrar & Adam Seaton are all "Good Guys With A (Scary) Gun". All used AR's & AK's, all are alive because of the tools they used and all saved innocent lives.

  15. So let me get this straight: dude got woken up by a home invasion, and he had the presence of mind in that moment to neutralize FOUR invaders and not screw anything up? Give him a medal, most people can barely even handle driving down the street until they've had their morning coffee. Who knows how many more crimes this incident prevented?

  16. Mike I just want to say I love the content you put out. Another quote from Jeff Cooper:
"The police cannot protect the citizen at this stage of our development, and they cannot even protect themselves in many cases. It is up to the private citizen to protect himself and his family, and this is not only acceptable, but mandatory." This is definitely not a bash on law enforcement but is a very real understanding that they can not be everywhere at once. Responsible armed citizens do not go looking for a fight but accept the responsibility to protect themselves and others when necessary.

  17. @mike is it worth it to have fire arms if it costs the life of your children and other children? every year around 1300 children die because of accidents with fire arms, this includes them playing with them, someone not handeling them correctly etc.because everytime i ask this question to someone from the nra who is nuts about his/her guns, they dont give me a straight answer, so i know most of the people in the nra dont care about their children enough to listen to talks about gun regulation and safety, because they yell its their right and they need to defend their home.and from who are you americans protecting your home from anyway? burglars? you would rather take the risk that your child gets killed by your gun than to let someone take your stuff? your stuff is more important than your kids is what you are saying.
americans need to realize that they have a gun problem, and how, as a non american do i know you have a gun problem? in 2018 more children died by accidents with fire arms, than soldiers died in warzones. if your kids are safer in someplace where they get blown up and shot at by enemies of your country, you have a gun problem.

  18. Hi Mike, I live in Houston and remember this event, really glad you posted it too. Strange though, if you look for that information now, it is hard to find and the news data omits the fact the home owner defended himself with an AK47 … what does that omission mean? As you present the anti-gunner's argument of having such effective home protection, the actual need never happens, it is "theoretical", does happen and now seems proof is omitted, it just weird to me. We know better and why is the data cleansed to omit that part of the story now just a few days later. Am I imagining something that isn't happening, can the police report be reviewed and facts found presented. IMO – capacity matters, it is easier to use a battle rifle patterned weapon than say a baseball bat or even a pistol. It seems to me the easy of use and effectiveness is proven in this case and likely why such turns up repeatedly in the bad cases of when somebody bad wants to kill a lot of people. Here in Texas there are a lot of folks that own such arms, practice with them and are proficient with them, good honest trustworthy people. Why do the story facts now omit that a home owner defended himself, in his home, successfully with an AK47 patterned rifle, against 4 armed and masked gunmen. Now it is presented as just a shootout in a East Houston neighborhood where nobody wants to talk or have their name mentioned.

On another note, being from Houston, that part of town is … not the safest area. Why was he hit by the robbery. I recall the breaking story being related to the homeowner known for having cash on hand. Possible motive being robbery of cash and jewelry, maybe unsubstantiated hearsay, maybe more to the story than honest upstanding homeowner attacked, don't know. Not sure when the police report can be reviewed for facts. Originally more was said, like the gunmen entered the house, demanded cash, the homeowner reached behind the couch where he was sitting and the gunmen thinking he was reaching for where he kept a bag of cash; but retrieved his AK47 instead. One guy presenting aim on 4 gunmen that have aim, doesn't get hit at all himself; but does the damage resulting, sound like stuff for a movie. Why isn't that story being told now. Confusing to say the least, need more information perhaps to lead me to more than what I can imagine the reason might be. BTW – another part of the story, the women on the street crying, were the spouses of the gunmen, per the breaking story, implying they all knew each other and were neighbors to some extent. My guess, this guy loaned money to locals and was hit. He knew the risk and was prepared. The robbers were just amateur desperadoes. Not sure the story will come out in the news, might have to extrapolate the data from knowing the hood and the police report.
