Full Video: Grammy Award Winning singer Gretchen Wilson gets booted from Hotel by Police Lapel Video

Las Cruces, NM – @copwatch obtained police lapel video footage of Country music star Gretchen Wilson, of the famous Grammy Award winning song “Redneck Woman,” recently played at the Las Cruces Music Festival in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Wilson claimed the problem started with her room service not being delivered and with her being a celebrity. Wilson claims it was backlash for complaining to the hotel.

Late into the night staff at Hotel Encanto had given her warnings to quiet down. The staff then gave up and called Las Cruces Police to come out and evict Wilson and another occupant from their two hotel rooms. Fire and Police Videos YouTube channel obtained footage from the City of Las Cruces Police Department of the incident.

Wilson was initially cordial to officers about the situation and explained that her, and her fiancé which she called “babe”, were drinking some wine after she had performed at the music festival.

Once she was evicted by the police, she began packing her bags all while questioning Las Cruces Police Department on why they weren’t hearing her side of the story.
“You should probably be somewhere else, looking at some real s**t and not here doing this,” said Wilson

Later on during the eviction she asked why police didn’t interview other guests about the incident “What the f**k happened to our words against others?”

The Las Cruces Police Department handled the entire situation in a professional manner and did not escalate the situation between Wilson and hotel staff. Police were clear from the beginning on why they were there, and it was to evict her from her hotel rooms.

Wilson took to Twitter to say in two tweets:
Was a guest in Las Cruces NM yest & had a blast w/ the people there. However, you should all band together to put Hotel Encanto out of business. Had to wait 2 hrs for breakfast. Then they sent police to kick me out in the middle of the night for no reason. I complied. Home early.

I got off stage at 11:30pm. At 12:30pm I was only talking in my room. The hotel informed me that QUIET HOURS started at 10pm. Wrong hotel for 3rd shifters.

  1. I’ve been in this position with hotels and I actually feel for them. I’m in there not being all snotty about it you know saying oh I’m Gretchen Wilson I’m a famous country music singer. No she’s outraged is a normal person, but it’s still fun laugh at

  2. maybe this is why everyone was like "who?… naw, never heard of her."…. when her name kept getting tossed out by …. herself.
props to the officers for being soooo patient over a 7th place winner of star search.

  3. The Cop said the Front Desk Manager was a Tool… That was the LEAST PRECISE Security Report I've ever heard… She might have sarcastically told the Security Bad Ass to call the Police on people talking, not believing it would happen, which it shouldn't, he should lose his job!!

  4. Aww how the mighty have fallen! This clown was a million dollar award winning musician and now she is just another drunk has been. It is real sad.

  5. Never heard of her, have no idea who she is other than an entitled , pretentious, obnoxious, annoying woman.

  6. Funny how, right towards the end, the police didn't leave as soon as they got word that the managment had changed their minds and were letting them stay; making it no longer a case of trespassing. They just hung around, then actually escalated the situation. She wasn't mad till then.

    Thanks for the content.
    Keep up the good work.

  7. Cops were great. Wannabe boy mall cop was scary.
When the cops were knockin', why didn't they notice the quietness in the hall?
I've had a loud couple or two in my day, and never called security, or the cops.
Idkw the fuck is wrong with people?

  8. This was crazy, they should never have been told to leave. I feel the hotel was totally in the wrong. Gretchen Wilson, you should definitely spread the word to friends and business associates and ROAST them on social media!!!!

  9. Funny how customer service there is always in the right and guest is in the wrong I would leave and find a better hotel she is famous Gretchen honey it's not worth it there just find another hotel that guy at the front desk is being something else I have dealt with staff after staff at hotels time to find a better hotel and don't even waste your time do a review on that place let other people looking for a hotel not to stay there.

  10. That poor cop, who I guarantee was happy he got manager to change to his mind and probably even ran up 7 flights of stairs instead of using elevator to tell her she can stay and she didn't flinch at the thought of staying. BUT, IF she was in the right (I'm not taking sides here) I totally understand her saying, "No. We're not staying here now." UPDATE: And I finished vid after I commented and she totally lost any sympathy I was feeling for her.

  11. Why does she not understand that hotels are private property and they can tell someone to leave if they dont like your hair color! Its like someone at your house and you ask them to leave and then they say: "no im not leaving cause you dont have a good reason to not want me here!"
Seriously this lady cant be that stupid! SMH … maybe shes just drunk! (shrugs)

  12. 🚨 NEWS ALERT 🚨 nobody was looking for her in the restaurant as nobody was aware she was a celebrity.

  13. the security guard cop with the american flag on his shirt wants to be a cop but prob failed the academy, no hate but i love cops and im glad he is doing something to help the cops! i hope he can be one some day
