Hey Mike, I was wondering how common it is for a criminal to claim he is a police officer to get a home owner or civilian to disarm themselves? Have you ever heard of it happening? is it common? What is your experience with this?
This guy should absolutely not have ever been a cop, he gave her less than a second to respond, failed to announce his presence, and was skulking around the house like a common criminal. I love the police, my brother is a 12 year vet in Ohio, but this guy is an idiot, and he deserves whatever he gets.

Questions;
#1. What type of gun did he use?
#2. What is the lbs per square inch, in ratio on the fireing mechanism(s) of that gun?
#3. If the shot was "accidental", could it simply be that his finger was already inside the trigger guard, instead of pointing straight out along the side of the trigger guard and gun length, unless absolutely necessary to pull the trigger?
#4. Just the placement of finger actually on the trigger (inside of the trigger guard) itself would immediately apply a certain amount of lbs per square inch, due to the fact that you cannot actually touch something without applying some amount of pressure, meaning, that even a small "twitch" can finalise the proper pressure necessary to fire said gun. True or false?
#5. Was the gun defective as in hair trigger, due to improper cleaning/maintenance? Or simply hair trigger?
#6. Where is the followup/court case that would have and should have happened?
My belief is that the shot was accidental as due to questionS, #3 & #4. ✌
I feel terrible for the neighbor. Knowing that you called because you were concerned for your neighbor’s safety and they ended up getting killed.
Shitty other part. This cop now has to live with knowing he killed a innocent person. I really hope this cop gets the help he needs and doesn’t harm himself.
If I was a homeowner and you're going to sneak around my home shining a flashlight around I don't know if you're a threat or someone coming to help especially if I hear whispering, I'm arming myself and getting ready to defend myself and my property.

Assuming there’s a problem keeps you alive. And have no idea if that gun belongs to a criminal. Don’t let lack luster state gun laws get you killed.
I would suggest everyone of you, take a look at what just happened in Arizona. A suspected burglary/ intruder in the home, which turned fatal. Hostages shot, suspects killed, all over what some of you guys keep saying was some damn wellness check
I would have been killed also. Lights in my backyard I would be armed as well pointing it out my window toward the light. I hear police I would not be pointing but I would have it still in hand till I knew it was really the police. Rip young lady. Sadly that cop didn’t want to shoot her but he was in the wrong. Now he will face the consequences of what he did. So sad all around.

I think it's possible the LEO suspected there was something going on in the house (like a hostage type situation), that they could have made worse by announcing themselves immediately. Were they assessing the safety of the situation when she popped up with a gun leaving the LEO no choice but to react? The neighbor called and was clearly concerned because the doors were open and she had not been seen or heard all day. What if she was being held against her will or even lying in the house injured from some psychopath who is waiting for a cop to kill? It's horribly unfortunate, I am thankful I don't have to make those types of decisions at my job. God bless the LEO's, even when they make a bad judgement call.
