Former Detroit Police Officer and Photographer Mike Trompak Will Be Never Forgotten

Former Detroit Police Officer and photographer Mike Trompak will Never be Forgotten by those he served and and photographed in the law enforcement community and the general public.

TROMPAK, MICHAEL (Mike) ALAN passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday morning September 20, 2012 at the age of 63. He was honored with an official police funeral. Which included a full police motor cycle escort, helicopter fly over, and a 21 gun salute, by the Albuquerque Police Department, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department, Santa Fe Police Department, and The New Mexico State Police Honor Guards.

Mike was the “official” photographer of the New Mexico State Police, Albuquerque Police Department and Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department; where he photographed every graduating class. He also manufactured the police badges for law enforcement agencies throughout the USA.

Mike photographed President George W. Bush, Governor Martinez and Gov. Sarah Palin as well as many other elected officials and celebrities. He loved cops and being around police officers who he interacted with daily.
