“Do you have your ID on you, baby?”

The funniest thing about this video is just how normal everything is, with one very notable and recurrent exception:

0:56 – A very subtle “baby”
1:18 – “Do you have your ID on you, baby?”
1:44 – “Which lane were you in, baby?”
3:52 – “K, do you have your ID with you, baby?”
4:38 – “So what were you doing, baby?”
5:03 – “Where were you headed to, baby?”

Contributing to this officer’s unorthodox style is their foray into roadside astrology at 5:43:

“Oh, you’re a Sagittarius, right?”

No. Aquarius.

“Aquarius! Right. Sagittarius is before.”

[addressing the other subject] “And Capricorn.”

Yes.

I was waiting for the officer to predict their future, but they only called for a tow truck.

  1. you should export and make a brand of that… when i would have an issue, i prefer to pulled over with them. The crap people say about police sometimes is sickening… we need more of that

  2. People need to get out of that habit of calling people baby, honey, sweetie, seeetheart, etc. Man or woman it doesn’t matter. It’s not something everyone will appreciate. Some people may not mind but it’s just weird me and others.

  3. People arguing about the use of the term and some of us over here just laughing at how quirky this cop is.
Also holy hate speech batman. What's with the comments on this video being so damn off the rails?

  4. Your parents dont care about you if your name is "Baby"….thats like someone naming their dog "Dog"…..youre just a full grown, out of circuit, paycheck…..

And if That isnt your name…..then wtf is the cop using that petname for?? Just because you had a reassignment doesnt make petnames ok…

  5. That's very inappropriate and the fact that neither one of them corrected her is beyond my comprehension. Understand police one make the situation light-hearted or non-threatening the calling a female baby and doing it over and over to me it's just very inappropriate.

  6. This officers hands look like man's hands and he sounds like a man too, so I'm gona say it's a man with a habit of calling all girls baby, notice how he didn't call the guy baby, he called him 'man'. When it comes to calling strangers things like baby, sweetie, sweetheart etc, it all comes down to how it's being said. With this officer it's obviously just a term of endearment. I personally have no problem with being called something like that, here in UK people often use 'love' to address others. It doesn't bother me in the slightest but depending on how it's used and said it can come off sounding pervy and creepy.

  7. Refreshingly nice Young People without Aggression or Attitude , This should be shown to all young Drivers when They collect that first license to drive . That is how to deal with an Officer .

  8. For us Southerners this is a normal term of endearment. I say it all the time. For westerners and northerners they're shook. We all have a different way of talking by region, there's nothing wrong with that.

  9. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS IS WRONG. First off i bet she don't even realize what she doing. Second i bet it distracts these women who were just in an accident….and people are always nervous when police around so makes it more casual. CONCENTRATE ON THE THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT…LIKE THE DESTRUCTION OF YOUR COUNTRY BY THE CROOK IN CHIEF!!

  10. I don't see anything wrong with this honestly. I've heard many women (which the officer or is) use the word, especially southern women. It's never given me the heeby geebys or anything personally. This is my opinion though.

  11. For F%&ks sake people its a gay butch female officer . Her saying baby is not a term of endearment she is clearly hitting on these poor girls just like a straight male would.

  12. it's evident that the person is ghetto a lot of people in the ghetto do that baby sweetie honey whatever it's a ghetto thing it's not meant to be taken rudely it's just some people refer to people that way instead of using their name they call him baby or sweetie or honey or whatever but this person being an officer responding to the scene of an accident yeah it's kind of unprofessional
