Deputy Robin Hopkins Shares the Story of Almost Dying and Surviving a Cop Killers Rampage

Deputy Robin Hopkins was shot in the line of duty on October 26, 2013 when a professed cop killer called 911 and said he was waiting for them.
A shoot out happened and the suspect stole an Albuquerque Police Department’s vehicle. He lead officers on a city wide chase. Multi agencies were involved.
Deputy Hopkins encountered the suspect and was using her squad car to try to stop the chase. The suspect fired into Hopkins’ vehicle striking her a few times.
Hopkins was wounded and required immediate aid or she would have died on scene.
