Daytona Beach Woman Arrested in Prostitution Sting

On April 28, 2022, an undercover officer with the Daytona Beach Police Department was operating an unmarked vehicle in areas of Daytona Beach, Florida, that are known for street-level prostitution. This patrol occurred after the agency had “received numerous complaints in reference to prostitution” in the area.

The officer was electronically monitored, and at approximately 12:55 p.m., he contacted a white female at the intersection of North Segrave Street and North Street, “an area where street prostitution is prevalent.” The female entered the undercover officer’s vehicle, asked if the officer was “police,” stated that she was looking to make some money, and agreed to oral and regular sex for a total price of $60… after which, this happened.

The arrestee has a history of multiple convictions for driving without a license as well as for drug possession, and had previously been referred to drug court, where she absconded from a residential treatment program, an act she subsequently told the court was an attempt to maintain her sobriety. (Seriously.) However, on June 28, 2022, she successfully completed the Volusia County State Attorney’s “SMART” deferred prosecution program. SMART is a rather-contrived acronym for “State Attorney’s Mission to Assist thriving Rehabilitation and Treatment” — a program intended to address to the underlying causes of misdemeanor crimes. Because the arrestee references her daughter in this video, it should be noted that the arrestee was married in 2019, that her daughter was born in 2020, and that her husband filed for divorce in 2021 while the arrestee was incarcerated. On July 26, 2022, the couple’s marriage was dissolved; the father has full custody of the daughter.

  1. YUP, LET'S WASTE TAX PAYER DOLLARS ON PROSTITUTION. WOMEN DON'T WAKE UP AND SAY "I WANNA BE A PROSTITUTE!' THEY'VE HAD HORRIBLE LIVES. NOW DO DRUGS. AND SELL THEIR BODY FOR MONEY. BUT POLICE RIGHT THERE. INSTEAD OF HELPING WOMEN. WHO COME TO POLICE ON DOMESTIC ABUSE OR STALKING. AND HAVE POLICE SAY THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO. PROSTITUTES DON'T BELONG IN PRISON. THEY BELONG IN REHAB. AND A MENTAL FACILITY. ARE JUDICIAL SYSTEM IS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN BROKEN.

  2. I actually feel so sorry for this woman. I hope that these officers receive some training in professionalism. This was a bit heartless. I didn’t even watch this one until the end. Do better, guys.

  3. Plain clothes with the backwards hat sucks, dude is like a chicken with its head cutoff. Who promoted him? His girlfriend?

  4. A bunch of heros doing their job. Who was the victim?
Doctors touch private parts for money. But if someone enjoys the experience – it's criminal? Freedom!

  5. If you're getting arrested don't cry and beg and act like a little child especially if it might get shown on YouTube or anything you'll just look extra dumb… Unfortunately a lot of them popo's love your sweet salty tears… Literally NEVER seen police say ok im sorry you're crying you're free now… sorry it just don't work that way and never will.

  6. So many real criminals out there. I’m not sure it should be illegal to begin with (it’s licensed and legal in Germany for example and the world keeps turning). And then it’s actually quite possible to view her as a sex trafficking victim not a criminal. Then to embarrass her with a filmed record of it, and then amplify it on YouTube? It’s not to difficult to imagine one of these people making themselves dead thinking about say a daughter seeing it. I could and probably should just browse on by, but thought you might like the feedback.

  7. If you fuck someone for free it is perfectly fine but if you charge a fee for it it's a crime. It's a totally stupid law and needs to be abolished. We need more prostitutes if anything. These women are providing a service to men who might otherwise be out raping women, or worse. Half the cops in your hometown, probably sleep with these women (for free, of course). It's a victimless crime and its just about money. The courts are the pimps and they want their cut.

  8. “Selling is legal, fucking is legal….WHY ISN’T SELLING FUCKING LEGAL?!?” -George Carlin
But do know where there are less public health issues from prostitution? Nevada. Love it our hate it, but legal prostitution protects the people from risky behaviors.

  9. If I was a cop I would be ashamed to be like these type of cops. This woman is not the problem. Smug cops treat these people like shit. Get off on their misfortune and bad decisions. Backwards hat tough guy I bet has a temper tantrum anytime his authority questioned. Wouldn't our tax dollars be better spent keeping drugs out of our country and cities? Instead allow corrupt politicians and law enforcement bring it right in. Allow millions of illegals to invade us and deplete our resources. Pathetic.

  10. Honestly, this might be a hot take, but they should just legalize it so a new industry can form and create a bunch of new jobs for people wanting to do this type of work as well as medical professionals running tests to make sure people are "clean", create a new subsection of a health department that would conduct this which will expand the department to hire more people, it would also kickback some extra local/state/federal income in taxes, may as well prevent some sexual assault cases in the process assuming a potential offender is committing the crime because they're desperate, well if they can pay they will just do that instead since, ya know, no jail time. So if you have people willing to work like this why not capitalize on it if it will lead to more tax income, jobs, potential less crime in the process?

  11. Thank god they got this super dangerous criminal off the streets! We dont want people having sex for money, my life is saved!
