Dash cam video of the traffic stop that occurred moments before a Tecumseh police officer was shot and fatally wounded was released.

Sunday March 26 at around 11:30pm Tecumseh police officer was on a traffic stop at Benson Park and Gordon Cooper. Suspect took off on foot and a foot pursuit ensued. Officer was able to taze the subject with no affect. Suspect then shot at officer, officer returned fire. Both officer and suspect were transported to hospital. Sadly, Officer Justin Terney pass away from his injuries on Monday morning.

Side note – lady cop should've at least taken the car keys at minimum and ran with them. But I wasn't there, in her shoes, so I can't judge. She Prolly feels horrible and the shouldve, couldve, wouldve, what if. Hindsights 20 20.
