Cop Saves Woman From Burning Car

I was yelling “Lady come on!!” as I thinking “You’ve got to come to me!” I really wasn’t thinking anything other than to get that lady out as everyone was panicking that she was stuck inside. It felt like minutes, but it happened in a matter of seconds. -Ofcr Joe Sparks, LPPD

This every day hero truly was just doing his job, but we need to recognize that “just doing their job” for first responders is an amazing service to the community. It’s even better when law enforcement and the community work together to get results!

I know this 71 year old female is grateful for his service. Yes, she survived and just suffered some non life-threatening smoke inhalation. Quite the miracle.

  1. You're lying! You work for an absurd good pay !! From taxes paid by others! 😉✌️
Just as you said. To make a difference! Normal behavior of a human being. Unfortunately this kind of people "extinct" every ear. Could you tell? what an event was "wormer afterwards". That really felt! "That make difference!"

  2. I'm surprised they didn't sue for excessive force lol the way he was swinging that baton lol

  3. yea mike ive done all that and saved my wife in a burning building. I'me not knocking on cops it just this every day America.

  4. I just don't understand how people can stand there and hope the police show up in time. If someone's life's in danger and you're there, fucking do something. It doesn't take a police officer to break a window. Not taking anything away from the cop, he's absolutely a hero. It just boggles my mind that out of all those bystanders, not a single one took action.

  5. Oh man… this video gave me flashbacks… I am a volunteer firefighter. And this is one of my worst memories ever. There was an accident around 7 years ago where a truck crashed into the end of a traffic jam and catched fire. A lady was stucked into the deformed parts of her car in front of the truck, who had pushed several cars into each other. We were the first firetruck arriving at the scene , but the cops where already there trying to put out the fire with a little fire extinguisher.
Unfortunately the fire was already spreading up onto the trailer of the truck and getting bigger and bigger really fast, while the woman in the car was screaming like hell. While we hurried to get the equipment ready the screaming driver went silent. We could not save her, she was burned alive and died. The police officer who tried to rescue her got some serious PTSD and was not able to do the job anymore and quitted.
Everything was going so fast, and there were several cars with injured people shouting for help everywhere. A fucking nightmare.

  6. Officer sparks lol that's ironic. But thank god we have police officers. I'll buy him donuts any day.*

*only one day because I'm a poor college student.

  7. When someone asked me "ya going to catch some bad guys?" No I'm going to save people from themselves and hopefully help someone.

  8. wanting to help people and make a difference in your community is always the main reason IMHO
Getting to run code 3 in high speed pursuits & catching bad guys is just an extra perk that puts a smile on your face

  9. I know my car caught on fire when I had a flat..(IDK).. Fire rescue showed up.. I had to grab my Dads CCW he forgot it was in there.. So I grabbed the gun and couldn't get the ammo before the grabbed me…and the kept saying.. Don't worry it will be ok.. I'm like.. Ok. Can I get a ride home?
