Choir Practice – Tom Rizzo talks about Law Enforcement and Leadership

Tom Rizzo currently in his 23rd year of law enforcement, as a Captain in NJ.

He’s enjoyed a decorated career with many citations, awards, commendations, and recognitions at several levels. He was blessed to have attended the West Point Command & Leadership Academy (offered to law enforcement) in 2009, in which he was invited to return as an instructor. From that time, he decided to build his own platform, based upon the tenets of transformational leadership philosophies, team/unit creations, “real” resiliency, wellness, work/life balance, and empathetic foundations.

He then accomplished his dream of publishing a book, “Copikaze; A crucible to manage mission impossible”, released in late 2021, which reached #1 on Amazon’s Best Sellers’ List. By using all of this information, he’s presented versions of his seminar (Ivory Tower and Operation L.E.A.D.) in nearly all fifty states (44 to be exact) to a wide range of audiences, spanning from LEO, Military, Civilian, and mental health professionals.

His most prized accomplishment is that of his four AMAZING children (his WHY) and how he has managed (far from “mastered”) his own struggles with mental health, resiliency, and relationships. He firmly believes in the incredible power of human connection, values, integrity, and vulnerability to be strengths and try earnestly to practice what he preaches. He believes our current crisis (on many levels nationally) is directly attributed to leadership fails…We manage materials…we lead LIVES…leadership is a perspective, not a rank or established by patches/pins/bars/stars.

By being the best version of yourself, you become capable of seeing/realizing the best in others…

  1. Yeah, I seem to recollect the police officer that you are referring to in Florida that didn’t stand up for his department like he should and I want to say his name was Israel and I don’t watch CNN so I wouldn’t know if he was a contributor on there or notbut if he is, I’m thinking he is a lowlife from all that I saw and heard about him when SHTF!

  2. Yeah, I saw the police officer chief press conference, and I was really excited about this that there’s actually an officer that stands up for his people and that translates to standing up for the people that support him. The officer in the middle would make a great. Leader of the department.

  3. This police officer in the middle of the screen has a lot of factual stories to unpack. But he needs to be careful what he says on here because this could be used against him. Overall, he seems like a really good cop.! He definitely is someone that gets the job done!
