Baltimore County, Maryland — The Baltimore County Police Department released the body-worn camera video from the May 16 officer-involved shooting of an armed 29-year-old man in the unit block of Skipjack Court. The suspect is identified as Robert Johnson Jr (29) of the unit block of Championship Court, 21117. Police Officer First Class Knight, a 24-year veteran of the force, responded to a call for a nuisance at 10:42 p.m involving a crowd of people in the parking lot in the unit block of Skipjack Court, 21221. When Knight arrived, he saw a green Buick being driven erratically by Robert Johnson Jr. The Buick had struck several parked cars in the area. Officer Knight called for backup as he tried to make contact with Johnson.

As Johnson exited the vehicle, he dropped what appeared to be a handgun, but then immediately retrieved it. Commands given by Officer Knight were ignored and the officer then fired at the suspect. The suspect then began to flee from the officer toward other townhomes, police said. Knight again fired at Johnson, this time striking him. He then immediately called for medics. Once the scene was secure, they gave Johnson aid and he was taken to Shock Trauma, where he later died. Officer Knight has been cleared of any criminal charges by the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office. Officer Knight is presently on routine administrative leave.

  1. I got nothing with the cops they do a great job. But why is it I hear put your hands up don't move put your hands up don't move…lol cmon bro stop playing red light green light with him lol.

  2. I don’t know why but I don’t really like the shoulder cams, maybe just because you can’t see as much of everything as the chest cams

  3. I am actually amazed that the officer kept his calm and did not fire as soon as the weapon dropped to the ground. It's U.S, people have guns, it could be a legitimate weapon of self defense that's his right. But, obviously going for the weapon is a whole other thing in this situation. All around sad, but, criminal? No. No one attempts to retrieve a weapon in this situation unless they plan to use it.

  4. That was fucked up. Idk the situation but that guy was running and never showed any threat. He dropped a gun with his back turned and tried to grab it before running. Alot of shit cops do is justified but that cop was trigger happy. His fellow deputy had to yell at him to stop shooting a man in the back and on the ground already wounded. That cop wanted to kill this man.

  5. What the hell! That officer didn't give him a chance to check if he cracked his phone when it feel out of the car..ugh police brutality ugh

  6. This cop is a dumb ass shooting at him as he runs all the bullets going inside the apartment don’t know what it’s hitting
