Police say an Albuquerque woman is getting mental health treatment after officers stopped her from jumping off an overpass. It’s the second time something like this happened this week in Albuquerque. The Albuquerque Police Department released the video showing a woman that was threatening to jump off the Paseo Del Norte overpass near Jefferson. It happened around 5 p.m. on Wednesday as people were driving home from work.

Police say officer John Cervantes was talking to the woman and trying to calm her down. After about 10 minutes, they say the woman bolted from her car and threw herself over the road’s concrete barrier. But just as she was about to jump, the officer grabbed her and pulled her to safety. Officer Brandi Madrid, who helped save a man attempting to jump from the Wyoming overpass on Sunday, was also on the scene to help.

  1. The news like to show when a cop kills someone and he doesn't need to which is like less than 1% of police but doesn't show the good

  2. Hey do you know why I pulled you over "because I was going 7 mph over the speed limit?" Correct now I'm going to leave you off with a warn- "FUCK MY LIFE"

  3. The wrong way to commit suicide by cop. She should have just pulled a toy gun in the cops, then they would have helped her.

  4. Being from Albuquerque it sucked to see all of the negative things being shown about our officers but lately I've seen an elite level of operation of my hometown department and officers. pretty proud of them.

  5. Why risk the jump and possibly just seriously injuring yourself instead of what you thought was gonna happen..
