Fort Lupton, Colorado — Newly released body camera footage shows Officer Zachary Helbig shooting a man after he was called on a report of a disturbance in the 600 block of 14th Street in Fort Lupton. The Fort Lupton police officer who was charged for the fatal shooting of Shawn Joseph Billinger, 46, has been found not guilty. The jury delivered the verdict Friday evening in Greeley. According to the indictment, Billinger started walking quickly toward Helbig as he was yelling “kill meâ€. But Billinger had nothing in his hands at the time. Billinger was shot once in the chest by Helbig. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Take note, other cops. With enough distance, it's almost always enough to shoot once and you can allow one second to see if it does the trick and then follow up with further shots if necessary.
"Until the threat is elemininated" shouldn't mean "unload until they're on the ground and then shoot them twice more".
