Chicago, Illinois — Newly released body camera footage shows a dispute between Chicago Transit Authority supervisor Martesa Lee and Chicago Police Officer Raymond Haran, as well as her subsequent arrest, after she complained about the interaction to his supervisor. The incident happened back in February 2020 at the Jackson Red Line platform. Musician Michael Malinowski, known as “Machete Mike” for the way he plays guitar, was playing music when he was suddenly stabbed by a 38-year-old woman. The woman later said the guitar playing had given her a headache. CTA supervisor Martesa Lee was there as the incident commander. Chicago police arrived to the scene and what followed was captured on body cam footage.

Lee accuses the officer of pushing her while on the platform. The officer is heard telling the woman she is in a crime scene, as the woman is seen on her radio, the officer grabs the woman and moves her, according to the video. She then goes up to a CPD sergeant to make a complaint against the officer. The Sgt is heard on video telling Lee “If he tells me that you were obstructing the crime scene, we’re going to arrest you”. Lee was arrested and kept on the platform for eight minutes before she was released without charges. Lee is now suing the city of Chicago over the incident and she also has filed a federal lawsuit against the two officers, alleging false arrest and a violation of her First Amendment right to free speech.

  1. LoL I would never use public transportation is chicago. All of the bus drivers and cta workers in general have this same attitude. They all come from shit neighborhoods and bring their shit attitudes to work with them. I always give cta bus drivers the nice big finger 🖕 everytime I pass them.

  2. In the beginning this lady clearly heard the officer say that it was a crime scene and she started walking slowly like daring them to say sthing.
    She just wants a payout!

Oh and its not "aKsing"! for the love of God!.
    Its "aSssssssking!"

  3. I feel sorry for that cop who moved her. He didn't arrest her, even after his superior asked him if he wanted to, then he instructed him to make the arrest, then it was the cop having to defend arresting her to the superior's superior. Maybe don't be THAT loyal.

  4. "I didn't du nuthin'"
    "I know you didn't."
She did. Not a big something, a little something, and then some time wasting. But if the officer who took action didn't want to arrest her, they shouldn't have power played much later as retaliation for making a complaint.

  5. She was a smartass right from the beginning, even though the cop asked her nicely…she should have went to jail for lying about being pushed. What a horrible woman.

  6. The CPD officers are totally justified in this. The CTA lady was contaminating a crime scene, the officer asked her least twice and them with minimal force moved her out of the crime scene. She went militant. The CPD supervisor gets involved because she wants to file a complaint. The supervisor should have just arrested her, but instead he offers her an out. She refuses cause she is militant, arrogant, priveledged, and used to being appeased. What is most sad to me is that the Chicago civilian oversight agency wants the Chicago sergeant suspended and stripped of his police powers.
