Las Vegas, Nevada — On November 16, 2021, at approximately 4:08 p.m., LVMPD officers responded to a mobile home park in the 2100 block of North Pecos Road for a report of two suspicious males walking through the complex, one of them armed with a handgun. Responding officers arrived and observed one of the males, later identified as Taveon Davidson, 25, and conducted a person stop. During the stop, officers attempted to do a pat-down for weapons at which time Davidson fled on foot. Both Officers identified as Officer Jeffrey Burr, 34, and Officer Damario Simmons, 29, engaged in a foot pursuit and observed Davidson pull out a handgun.

While fleeing from officers, Davidson turned and fired one round at Officer Burr. Both Officers Burr and Simmons returned fire striking Davidson several times. Davidson continued running from officers before he collapsed and was taken into custody without further incident. Davidson was transported to UMC Trauma where he was admitted for treatment of his wounds. He was booked in absentia for two counts of attempt murder with a deadly weapon on a protected person, shooting into an occupied structure, prohibited person in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

  1. There are people in the comments that are straight up expecting the officers to die there, and let the suspect continue shooting at them, rather than them returning fire and stop the guy. Insanity.

  2. Wow i like this cop very alert asking to the Right assassin don't let them accion his gun to the bad guy or an other cop will die Woooooooooo

  3. So now the academy teaches you to shoot into an innocent person's vehicle just hoping you hit the suspect? NO REGARD FOR INNOCENT PERSONS!!!!!

  4. I like how his logic was: "I'm armed with a handgun and being confronted by cops. The best thing for me to do is run as fast as I can while trying to shoot at them. I'll be able to get away for sure if I do that!"
    😂😂😂

  5. I'm glad I don't live in one of those houses the bullets went straight at: imagen having kids playing in the living room getting shot!! 😮

  6. imagine just sitting on your couch scrolling your phone then you get shot in the shin from crossfire coming through the front of your trailer home

  7. Wonderful shooting these cops don't care about idiots protesting in the B L M criminal organization , they do there bloody job 👍❤️💯
