Video captured two Montmorency County, Michigan sheriff’s deputies dealing with a Washtenaw County lieutenant who is accused of drunken driving in Montmorency County, Michigan. Washtenaw County Lt. Brian Filipak is on an administrative leave as the investigation continues. Video shows Filipak repeatedly asking to just be let go, but the Montmorency deputies weren’t having it, and at one point, told him they would use a stun gun on him if he didn’t knock it off. “Brian, I’m going to have you step out of the car and do some field sobriety tests,” an officer said.

Filipak was pulled over after deputies said they saw his car weave all over the road. “Just let me stay here,” Filipak said. He pleaded with the deputies to let him sleep it off on the side of the road, repeatedly refusing to budge from his truck. The deputy told him he had to get out of the truck now, but Filipak continued to refuse the orders and forced the deputies to pull him from his pickup truck.

  1. I read that in one of the commits that this was no the first DUI. He lost his badge. Butt why is he still allowed to work for the sheriff. Is that county sheriff running a good old boy office

  2. He should be given the exact same treatment as they would have given anyone else. He would have been dragged out of that car so fast if he wasn't a cop. I'm really not impressed by this at all, it's clear special treatment. If he could have let him go, without any consequences for himself, he would.

  3. If you are a police officer or a politician you should be held to a higher standard than the public at large. These people make and enforce our laws and should not have any leeway when it comes to breaking the laws. This is a good example of what the police need to do to one another if they break the laws. They need to be removed from their positions and put through the same things us normal citizens would if we did the same thing. Good for this cop for holding him to this standard and enforcing the laws we all have to abide by.

  4. Okay, now why do police get so angry so fast when it’s not another officer? You KNOW the officer has a gun or guns in the car and you know they are mentally unstable… how are you so nice? Fuck this cop and fuck that cop and fuck the other ones too.

  5. The arresting officer already gave him so many more chances then a regular civilian would get, and this guy keeps thinking the laws doesnt apply to him. Imagine if every DUI would end in "Sir, you're gonna have to pull over and sleep it off"

  6. In 2017 Brian lost his badge but remains working for the sheriff's office. This was his 3rd incident involving DUI and the police run ins.

  7. He’s delaying so he can sober up. Looks like he’s on something more than drink

  8. My heart goes out to the arresting officer, MUCH RESPECT!! The Lieutenant is a damn jerk and should be ashamed for putting his fellow officer in such a shit situation! SMH

  9. 14mns in and he's STILL saying "Let me sleep it off! Let me sleep it off! Let me sleep it off!" Those officers are saints for not punching him in the mouth. Although I think they could have wound things up a lot sooner, if I'm honest.

  10. I kinda feel sorry for him, his face at the start he just knew he fucked up. Deserves everything he gets but he could be a good cop with a bad habit.

    Edit: Nononononono
