MODESTO, California —- The MODESTO POLICE DEPARTMENT released body camera, pictures and detail of an Officer Involved Shooting in Stockton, CA that occurred on October 20, 2020. with Homicide Suspect.
Following Friday’s the 16th double homicide on Semple Street, investigators have continued to work tirelessly to identify and apprehend the person responsible. The investigation led to the identification of a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Around 12 p.m. this afternoon, the suspect was found near Sherwood Way and Banbury Drive in the City of Stockton, CA. The suspect was armed with a gun and the contact resulted in an officer involved shooting involving Modesto Police Department’s Officers.
The suspect later identified as David Cumming Jr of Stockon, CA was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. We do not have an update on his condition at this time.
