12. Just so tragic. I feel really sorry for the police officer and the family. The worst tragedy of all is that the poor man who had lost his mind had to be killed in the course of the officer defending himself. That there officer had to defend himself was necessary. It's still very tragic. I only wish that he'd gotten effective psychiatric help at the right time. God bless everyone involved.

    I'm sorry, but just before he knocked on my door, I was munching on some pizza and watching The Addams family. I calmly open the door then disrespected his commands and then he tazed me.
    Damn, that hurt.
    So I'm thinking that since I disrespected his commands, the best thing that I could do is charge at him.
    The officer said STOP OR I WILL SHOOT YOU!

26. I hate how some people would call this a bad shoot. I wonder if these people understand how easy it is to kill people with barehands. Snap the neck, the right punch in the wrong place, brute force crushing by multipul strikes to the ground / concrete. This was a good shoot, it's unfortinate it happened yes, but have you ever seen what a drugged out person can do to the human body / seen injurys inflicted to others? I personally know a guy who got his arm partly degloved by a drugged out wackoloon, thankfully the doctors were able to help him and his muscles was able to be reconnected and arm fixed but with major scaring among other issues.

28. Yup, it's not the officer's duty to enter into some kind of MMA bout with you. If you intend to do them bodily harm, they can try the taser, and then they have every right to move right onto the service pistol if that taser doesn't stop you. Only morons cite this made up theory that unarmed people can't be deadly.

    This is why they need to add a mental health squad to police departments. The officer was not equipped to handle this situation. As soon as he entered the home you can hear how anxious he was, he even says, "I'm gonna walk back out I don't work like this." He knew the man was mentally ill. He should've gone back to his car & waited for back up. Tragic situation for all involved. Mentally ill ppl need to be handled by mental health professionals not police officers imo.
