@CopsConsTVobtained lapel footage from Newburgh, N.Y. Police Department Officers. Lapel footage from the Officers show City Councilman-at-Large, Omari Shakur of Newburgh N.Y. during a heated traffic stop. Shakur for some unknown reason was in the roadway in the opposite lane of traffic parked, when a police detective blew his horn to move him along.
The Police Superior Officers Association, a union for high-ranking Newburgh officers, said in a statement that Shakur told a detective, “I’m your (expletive) boss,†and threatened to run over another uniformed officer, telling him to “pull your gun out (expletive) ’cause I’m getting ready to go at you.â€
Shakur dropped numerous F-bombs, and derogatory terms toward the police officers, and he also used racial language during the entire encounter.
Shakur was cited for parking in traffic before he finally agreed to sign the tickets and sped off.
