A Cop’s Every Day Carry (EDC) | Mike the Cop

After my original video on what I carry on my gun belt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtP3oDfgCAU&t=289s

I received many requests to share what I use for “EDC” or every day carry. I’m always a little weirded out by these videos because I’m never sure if they are really engaging or interesting to others, but I suppose you’ll be the judge of that.

If you like the defense tool, the rats tourniquet or the tac light you can grab them up in my shop (see below). You can also check out the Raven Crest tactical site: https://ravencresttactical.com/

  1. The weapon police officers use the most is their ability to instantaneously tell lies whenever it suits their purpose. Only god knows how many lives have been ruined by police lies because corruption and law enforcement walk hand-in-hand.

  2. And this don't forget about the drop gun oh yeah the little packets of meth to plant on people you new generation of cops with old school ways 💩stink!

  3. I'm like 4 years late to this particular party, but regardless: I carry a Ruger LCP II which doesn't have a manual safety, only a trigger safety which seems mostly useless. I keep it holstered on my person or in my bag its own pocket (without holster bc in practice it's too many steps to remove quickly), you still recommend keeping a round chambered?

  4. Hi there Mike I have a little LCP 22 do you think that would be okay for a carrier or do you think I need to go with the clock I know the LCP is easy to carry but I also know I don't have much knockdown power so what do you think?

  5. Mike the Cop Shocking EDC Video from a COP/LEO: the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd thing to leave the house with is deadly force weapons??
No Pepper Spray or Pepper Gel for self-defense?
Why I say carry Pepper Spray/Gel?… because most self-defense incidents require non-lethal methods.
Less than one (1) percent of self-defense need deadly force. Please add a non-lethal can of "hot-sauce" to your EDC.
    God bless
EDIT spend some of that $1,400 USD from Uncle Sam on Pepper Spray/Gel. Remember shooting someone or knifing a person is often expensive, very traumatic & life changing. Only use deadly force as a last ditch method – train more on not deadly force. Please.

  6. I will not carry a weapon without one in the pipe. I get in debates about it frequently. My answer “A cop will tell you you’re stupid if you don’t”

  7. Yeah Glock rules…👍 Mod. 17/21/22 are my Favorites, but unfortunaly in Germany where i live, carrying a Gun is nearby not possibel. My EDC‘s are a Pohl Force Alpha Folder ( Dietmar Pohl is a in Germany will known Knive Designer) , Leatherman Surge and a Nitecore MH 23 Flashlight. In my Maxpedition Bags also a small First Aid Pack with Leatherman Raptor as a First Responder . And of course my IPhone X or 12 PM . Greets from Southwest Germany watch your Six…😉 PS: I forgot my Sabre or Fox Mean Green Pepperspray

  8. My edc knife is S&W with the window punch and a belt cutter.. mainly picked it because its bulky and has a nice sand paper type grip.

  9. Mike the cop when you're on patrol for all the gear on your duty belt does it make your pants heavy and do you have to pull your pants up when you're running

  10. Went in to buy a standard hunting knife. Retired Benicia Calif cop sold me one on steroids … like the one Crocodile Dundee wielded. Not too concealable though.

  11. Two Marines at a meeting long ago were arguing over whether better in a one on one alley fight to have a knife vs a gun. The "fans" that gathered up were about half behind the knife guy and half behind the gun guy and the other half scratching their heads. Can't avoid a slashing knife, but can see and duck the bullets is what it boiled down to.

  12. What a moron. If I was your boss you'd be employed and up on charges. Flick knife, knuckle duster, spare clip and all the other shit, REALLY. You're a moron and clearly scared.

  13. Surely not having a bullet sitting in the chamber of a gun especially whilst wearing/carrying it around is safer for the owner? I understand that time counts etc but surely someone who carries a gun in the first place is always on high alert? How long does it take to cock a gun, wouldn't you done that way before any threat become real?? We can't carry guns period over here so I have no dog in this argument, just thinking out loud/asking questions.

  14. 😐😑 omg ur my husband's twin irl… he carries most of that with few exceptions and add 550 cord. He says you'll never know when you might need 550 cord. 😕 I know when I won't…. it's good though seriously to see cops serious about their "batman" rigs. Shows me I'll never need to carry anything really as long as one is around. Alot of people state well cops make life more dangerous, maybe for criminals but I tend to go to cafés and diners etc where they hang around, because it's actually safer. Thanks for being always ready to help.

  15. America has so many disrespectful pricks like "mikhaelis", and our cops dont receive the support and thanks they deserve for what they do every day. Whens the last time you saved a life, or got shot to protect someone? I wonder what "mikhaelis" is like in person. Probably doesnt follow the law very well himself huh? just a hunch

  16. Got to be careful with the otf knives , if they are cheaply made the plastic where the blade meets will crack. Especially with stabbing in upward motion. I broke mine after stabbing a brisket

  17. Hi Mike I am a brand new gun owner. Do you have any advice for me how to get comfortable carrying my gun with a round in the chamber? Thanks buddy.

  18. Jesus Christ is Lord God of all! God bless you all! Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is too difficult for the Lord our God, with Christ, ALL things are possible!

  19. Being in Canada, firearms are not permitted to be carried. Even by off duty cops (I’m not, I am a security guard). So we’re pretty limited. I do however 110% endorse the flashlight concept. I carry the Streamlight Protac HLX for EDC/ low risk jobs. And a Fenix PD35 in on my belt for on duty because of the traffic wand ability.
And a Gerber Hinderer CLS knife or a Mastercraft Maximum folding “tactical” knife (look up mastercraft, you’ll know why the quotes).
And I wear a rappel belt. (It fits, it’s durable and it has the safety aspect).

  20. An October 2005 mugshot of Ismaaiyl Brinsley who was booked due to disorderly conduct

Screenshots from an Instagram account purported to be Brinsley's include images of a silver firearm and camouflage pants. The caption of the photo partially reads, "I'm Putting Wings on Pigs Today. They Take 1 Of Ours…..Let's Take 2 of Theirs."

"There’s blood on many hands tonight," Lynch said. "Those that incited violence on this street under the guise of protest that tried to tear down what New York City police officers did every day. We tried to warn: It must not go on, it cannot be tolerated. That blood on the hands starts on the steps of City Hall in the office of the mayor."
